Others in Greece and Italy tried to assist as well and found same and when calling 800 numbers the calls were not going thru or hold time was overly extreme. Was told at Athens check in to upgrade in Instanbul and to go to transfer desk to get upgrade. An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."

Miinukset: "The boarding process was chaotic, partly due to the airport layout, however it would be great if they were able to sort a less chaotic way to transport business class passengers out to the jets in less cramped busses."

Miinukset: "Ground support (desk, etc.) in Istanbul was not convenient - the communications were crossed often, and on a long layover we were told incorrect directions and missed an opportunity to sleep in the airport in their resting room (seems to always be full)."

Miinukset: "I had a 22 hour layover. On the website, Turkish Airlines advertises they cover hotel rooms for anyone with a layover exceeding 15 hours. However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

Miinukset: "USB did not work! Front of plane was boiling whereas back of plane was freezing. My friend was so hot she was sick many times because of the hotness of the plane."

Miinukset: "The service on Turkish airlines was not friendly or helpful. The food was not quality, or food tasting. The entertainment didn't include a lot of movies at all. One of the flights did even give headphones. The staff wasn't rude and not helpful, and didn't make the flight comfortable. I had high hopes flying with Turkish Airlines for the first time, but I was thoroughly disappointed with everything."

Plussat: "Great entertainment, crew, food, and organization. This was my first flight on Turkish Airlines and I would definitely fly this airline again."
Miinukset: "Clearing security was a nightmare. So many layers and lines to stay in, and the area wasn't air conditioned. Unfortunately, a handful of the passengers got "ripe" before the 10 hour flight to Chicago. Ugh."

Plussat: "Way too many announcements throughout the flight. We has a crazy amount of security checks which caused a delay then had a bus ride to the other side of the airport to get on the plane!"

Plussat: "Everyone did a great job handling the new ban of all large electronics. This new rule imposed by the US is completely ridiculous and rather illogical; however, Turkish Airlines did a great job of making it as minimally burdensome as possible."
Miinukset: "Splitting passengers up into male and female lines in order to be processed before boarding the flight seemed to create a lot of anxiety for passengers traveling with their significant others. I would advise figuring out a way to efficiently process groups without having to split them up by gender."

Miinukset: "We were in business. Food and service quality has gone downhill since last year. Cabin temperature is very warm. Staffs are not friendly. They spent a lot of time chatting in the galley talking and eating off food serving trays. Yikes!"

Plussat: "Our flight from Zanzibar took off 40 minutes late and we made up no time in the air. We arrived at the Istanbul airport 20 minutes before our next flight was supposed to take off. Of course the gates were nowhere near each other so we ran as fast as we possibly could to catch our next flight. When we finally got to the gate, the employees were so kind to rush us through each step of security and get us to the door and there had to be at least 7 or 8 people who were working and doing whatever they could to get us on that flight. It meant so much! We had been up since 2am to catch our previous flight and just wanted to get home to our families and dogs! We were so grateful they worked so hard to get us on the plane!"
Miinukset: "Because we were late, we got what I'm guessing were the last two seats on the plane. The window seats in the last two rows. It was EXTREMELY tight back there. I'm just glad we were able to get on the plane but the comfort level was really not great and for a 10 hour flight, that stunk."

Plussat: "The airline was very hospitable and efficient. All flights were on time, boarding and de-boarding were very quick and painless. Crew was extremely helpful and kind. Food was good, seats were comfortable, and entertainment was good. For the money and time spent on this flight we felt we got an extremely good deal and would take this airline again, and recommend."
Miinukset: "The planes were pretty warm/hot for most of our flights. I'm not sure if air condition was available, but I know some people asked. It did cool down eventually so they must have turned on air or fans, but I know the heat was on at some points which made it a bit uncomfortable for such a long flight."

Plussat: "I would definitely fly on Turkish Air again. The seats were roomy in comparison to other airlines I have flown on. The inflight entertainment was excellent in comparison as well. I thought the food and beverages were pretty good for an airline as well."
Miinukset: "Just the concern that people were not instructed to stay seated until the airplane came to a complete halt. People were out of their seats and getting luggage out of the overhead bins well before the plane had taxied up to the gate. Please make an announcement to keep passengers safe. Also, the cabin crew could have been a little more helpful to passengers. They kind of stood around and did nothing when a gentleman and his child got on the airplane and other people were clearly sitting in his seats. The man had to straighten out the situation with the people who were in the wrong seats. The flight crew needed to have been assertive, ask politely for people's boarding passes and taken care of the conflict, not the customer. My flight was late and I missed my connection to Seattle. Turkish Air did put us up for the night and provided meals without a hassle."

Plussat: "The Transfer desk granted our request to switch our flight from Istanbul to Chicago to Istanbul to Los Angeles. A meeting that I had initially scheduled in Chicago was cancelled and would have meant an extra day of travel and hotel stay. By allowing us to go directly to LAX we got home a day earlier and didn't have the hassle of going through customs, checking in & out of a hotel and going through another set of security checks with all our bags. Additionally, we had great service, food and entertainment. Especially liked the wifi that allowed me to read and send emails, texts and do some work."
Miinukset: "Even though they had at least an hour to transfer the bags from the Chicago flight and put it on the LAX flight, the bags didn't make it and they didn't find them for about 24 hours but did deliver them to our home at 1:45 AM (@37 hours after arriving)"

Plussat: "At least there was a good selection of movies"
Miinukset: "The crew just couldn't get it right, half our section didn't get the hot towels before takeoff, the attendant had run out half way down the aisle then forgot to come back. Distribution of food was handled like it was the first time the crew was attempting it in a moving plane. They couldn't get orders right, handing out vegetarian dishes when non-veg dishes were requested. Running out of ice for the drinks."

Plussat: "The boarding process seemed to just be to get in a line and go for it, which was kind of nice to avoiding pointless zones. Pretty decent movie and tv selection, but on one flight my touch screen hardly worked to it was hard to watch anything."
Miinukset: "Beware, when you booo through kayak apparently you can't choose your seat so you get all middle seats...regardless of the fact that your preference is set to aisle or window and those seats are available. Food was prettt bad and it's also an hour plus to even get a drink of water. I was constantly dehydrated and thirsty."

Plussat: "am very satisfaction with my flight, Food was excellent .also the service to.I am so happy I chose kayak"

Miinukset: "My light for an attendant was on for 20+ min, unanswered, while they were laughing loud behind thecurtain. 2) they announced that there will be a second round of food toward end of 11+ hrs fliht. It NEVER happened (::"

Plussat: "Turkish airlines had great food, were very accommodating, the seats had plenty of space, and it was an overall great experience. I will definitely fly with them again!"

Miinukset: "I travelled in Business Class from Istanbul to Chicago. The service was not at all impressive and the crew were not very helpful. I asked for water and champagne with my dinner. Champagne never arrived, even after I asked for it again. My half-full glass of water was taken away halfway through dinner with no explanation and never replaced. I asked for water five times before I was finally brought a bottle of water over 30 minutes later when they were being passed around to everyone. Meanwhile, the two flight attendants I asked for water walked by several times picking up trash... not sure what was so difficult about bringing me a glass of water."

Plussat: "This is a government run airline with very poor customer service. I flew 6 flights in December, 2016 in business class - out of which 5 flights were late. There was no help at the transfer desk in Istanbul to get onto another flight as my connecting flight was missed because the original outbound flight was late. The customer service staff both at the lounge and the transfer desk were inept and rude and did not want to help. I shudder to think how economy passengers are treated."
Miinukset: "1) No organized boarding process - there is a general melee at the boarding gate with a lot of shoving and pushing. 2) Customer service staff are rude, incompetent and unhelpful 3) No recognition that customers are to be served 4) Food selection in business class was mediocre and poor 5) Old aircraft - on flight from Istanbul to London, business class was 3 abreast with the middle seat being used as a tray table. 6) Sleeper class is mediocre - seat width is poor and one cannot even turn on the side"

Miinukset: "I was supposed to be given two boarding passes through my check-in but I was given only one. This caused a lot of confusion on the Istanbul Airport. The staff there we unbelievably rude. They caused two passengers (on separate occasions) to miss their flight right in front of my eyes due to no apparent reason. They plainly refused to cooperate with passengers."

Plussat: "Turkish Air has some of the best flight attendants in the business. The food is essentially gourmet (hot wrap, in this case), and the pilots are highly skilled."
Miinukset: "I tend to need the climate control to be on the cooler side, and 777's seem to run hot. Since there are no air vents, the warmth can be overwhelming. Also, the comments about leg-room, ... correct. I'm 6' 3" and 'uncomfortable' sums it up pretty well. For 10½ hours, being crammed into that small a space can be quite daunting."

Miinukset: "Very friendly staff if istanbul airport was organized this airline is better than emirates"

Plussat: "If you are flying Turkish from the US or from Istanbul to the US or other far away destination, for the love of God, do not fly on the B777-300. Did that twice from Chicago to Istanbul and back, and the seats in economy are a real killer....very tight and uncomfortable. On the other hand, if you have a choice of Turkish aircrafts b777 vs AB330-300, you will do yourself a favor by selecting a flight on an AB330-300. Slighter smaller plane then the 777 but a little more comfortable in coach. So you are warned......and by the way, you will select a two seater combination rather than being stuck in the middle.....If you are stuck in the middle, always do your best to get at least an isle seat."
Miinukset: "Turkish Airbus 330-300 Loved a little more leg room in economy. Also the FA very really on their feet and eager to help. Always with a smile on their faces. I would recomand flying Turkish overseas but only on an AB 330-300 coach configuration."

Plussat: "The food was very good. As a vegetarian, I find I am quite disappointed on flights because of limited or no meatless options. This was not the case on Turkisk."
Miinukset: "Seats are too cramped. Need extra leg room. They should really take out a few rows of seats to provide some more much needed room."

Plussat: "Nothing, will never use this airline again."
Miinukset: "Worst customer service. Very uncaring and rude. Worst airline I have seen and I have traveled with many. Had doubts about using Turkish and a little less expensive ticket turned out to be the most expensive in many ways. Went to the gate 17 minutes early and the agents and the plane was there but was refused entry and was lied and told to go to gate 215 and missed the flight even though there were empty seats on the plane. Asked for help at the other gate but was given the run around and ignored by everyone and told to go to gate 214. After I went to gate 214 was told to go to customer service lower level. Turkish airline supervisor Mustafa Bogaz at Istanbul customer service held a grudge because I was upset and yelled at one of the supervisors and he told Mustafa and everyone not to help me and wanted to get back at me and said penalty in front of me to the customer service member I was speaking with. Mustafa lied and would not put me on a connecting flight and said I had to pay penalty and wait 24 hours. Told me to go to customer service outside the airport and would not call them after I told him I was ready to pay for a connecting flight and could not wait 24 hours and needed to go to work. Even though an American citizen was told needed a visa after waiting 1 hour in line and had to pay to exit the airport. The machine didn't work and the credit card was refused. Got stuck at the airport for 24 hours and missed work and a family event. Turkey is a hell hole and nothing works. Will never visit again. Mustafa 6 hours later was still holding a grudge and told another customer service member in Turkish in front of me to lie to me and say there was no emergency aisle seat available for the flight the next day. Got an emergency aisle seat the next morning when Mustafa wasn't there. Everyone in the customer service team including other supervisors took Mustafa's side and would not help me and lied. Everyone had no compassion and held a grudge."

Plussat: "Food was fine and entertainment system was great. Watched movies the whole way. We arrived 1 hour early."
Miinukset: "I was pulled aside for extra security. That was fine but there were a few other passengers that should have been pulled over for extra security besides me. It took an extra 20 minutes for me to board the plane because of this and when I arrived to my seat an Arab woman was sitting in my place and refused to move to the middle seat. She said she could not and would not sit next to a man who was sitting on the other side. If this is a problem from the start, there should be a way to choose a seat according to gender. The stewardess found me another place in front of this woman who kicked my seat the whole way. She even argued with the stewardess about putting her suitcase above her in the rack and security was almost called. There should be something included in the flight information program about being polite to other passengers."

Miinukset: "I was extremely annoyed that TSA Pre-Check was unavailable at Terminal 2 at 8:15am. This is unacceptable and not the TSA's fault. I fault the airline for this oversight. Delta needs to communicate better to the passengers if there is a possibility of this service being unavailable at an airport."

Miinukset: "Don't assume you will get a good fare just because you book 2.5 months in advance, have a Delta AmEx card, and use some of your earned miles"

Miinukset: "I bought a ticket thinking i bought it through kayak but I actually bought a ticket through a third party in India. Where no one spoke good English. I called the agency to find out if I needed a Visa for my visit to Australia and the told me no. So when I showed up to the airport I didn’t have the right documents and I MISSED MY FLIGHT. Also the wouldn’t just change my flight and charge me the change flight fee. They cancelled my flight entirely and made me buy a whole new ticket!!! Worst flight experience I’ve ever had and this is not my first time flying to Australia or out of country."

Miinukset: "Food was awful. Didn't get my checked luggage in Manila upon arrival, was traced and left in New York JFK. Don't know who messed up with my luggage if Delta connection or China airlines."

Miinukset: "Can you make the seats any smaller? Cabin space is tight and for people who suffer from claustrophobia it makes it difficult traveling. More cabin space with raising the fares would be great!"

Plussat: "The Delta service desk was great! We wanted to get an earlier flight home and the Delta Rep got us on standby quickly and with a smile."
Miinukset: "Some chaos getting on the flight. The area they have set up for the different sections to wait before getting called weren't marked very well so everyone was bunched up and confused. Once they started calling the sections it was fine. Not sure why they even had the marked areas."

Plussat: "Flew premium economy/delta comfort + and was a great flying experience. A taste of business without the $3000+ ticket price. Food was excellent, a huge step above economy. Extra comfort with wider seats. And priority boarding as well. This was more like premium economy that you get with European airlines. For long haul flights, well worth the cost. Flight was delayed 2 hours, but Delta had their own special route in Shanghai airport to bypass a lot of the crowds either transferring or checking in for fight. I wouldn’t have made my connecting flight if they hadn’t. Plus my checked bags went straight thru to my final destination in china,n instead of having to pick up and re-check them in Shanghai."
Miinukset: "2-hour delay causes me to almost miss my connection. I know some passengers had to be transferred to different flights which they almost missed."

Miinukset: "Delayed 15 hours because of a mechanical issue, spent the night in Cancun. Customer service and communication throughout was terrible."

Plussat: "After almost every airline cancelled. Delta still took me to where I needed to go with not one single problem. That pilot was amazing. I forget his name. But the plane didn't slide or anything during take off. Amazing."
Miinukset: "What was there not to like. We were a little bit late but I wasn't in a rush. I planned well ahead. Delta moved my flight from 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. and that was perfectly fine with me."

Miinukset: "Late pickup, then no gate at stopover causing is to miss our flight as we sat on the tarmac. Got on next flight, 5 hours later, the literal last row of the plane right in front of the bathroom, you know, those seats that don't recline? Travelling with a cranky two year old, made pains to select seats for maximum child comfort and it all flew out the window. Arrived at destination and sat, again, waiting for a gate. Signed up for sky miles previously based on good experiences, but this was one lane thing after another. Advice? Don't act like you're doing me a favor when asking people to check bags cause then it's "free"."

Plussat: "We were not happy with our flight my flight got cancelled 3 times I miss work they need to reimburse us and also reimburses the hotel cuz we had to stay at a hotel because they cancelled our flight three times and then our flight that we went out on Monday was late because of a flight attendant arriving late to the hotel to the airport"

Miinukset: "I was an older plane, it was louder than our flight down to Atlanta. Nothing they could do about it, but a slight annoyance."

Miinukset: "We were arbitrarily re-seated due to equipment changes, back and forth and lost our original seat selection even though we wound up on a plane with the original configuration. An international call wait of 1.5 hours was required to just get us back into the economy plus section that we had originally paid for, Amsterdam check-in was chaotic. In-plane staff was not at all helpful with our desire to get seats on the outside rows of our section."

Plussat: "The crew had the most amazing attitude. Very friendly. It really makes a big difference. Seemed like the positive attitude was contagious. Thanks to them."
Miinukset: "The seats were entirely too close. Not enough legroom. Legroom was easily two inches less than typical. I am 6'4" and I could not get my knees to go behind the seat in front of me. I had one knee in the aisle and the other between the two seats in front of me. I know I'm taller than average, but I don't think I'm asking too much. Just want to be able to sit normally."

Plussat: "Friendly and informative flight attendants kept the passengers in reasonable spirit."
Miinukset: "Left nearly an hour late after confusion related to oversold seats and upgrades. The gate agent entered the plane multiple times. The landing was rough, the brakes were loud."

Plussat: "Comfy seats"
Miinukset: "No earphones available. I had forgotten mine but crew stated that none had been put on the flight. Lunch was served but no snacks later as is usual on an almost 4 hr flight. I always fly First Class for the extra room and perks of crew service. Crew spent most time in galley chatting. Not a bad flight by any means but I guess I have been spoiled by superior service on all of my other weekly Delta flights."

Miinukset: "I purchased a basic economy ticket and upon checking in, my Delta app said my seat was unassigned and I had to get my boarding pass at the airport. I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Miinukset: "Our carry-on luggage was taken away from us because the gate agent decided it looked too big. A family of four with luggage larger than ours was allowed to carry theirs on. Our luggage was then sent down to the baggage carousel at Baltimore. We took carry-on to avoid this. I don't think we will fly Delta again."

Plussat: "Okay crew. Though there are always standouts in the group. They don’t have an easy job with current Covid-19 requirements."
Miinukset: "Food is down a few notches. Used to better especially on other airlines."

Miinukset: "The experience in the Frankfurt airport was terrible! We had arrived from Rome with an hour between landing and boarding. When we were directed to security at Gate Z, there was a huge mob of people, not really in lines. We didn’t know what we were waiting for or where to stand, but we and others around us were very worried about missing our next flight. There was no Lufthansa representative to help. Finally someone directed some of us to a long roundabout back way to Gate Z security. We did get to our gate in time for boarding, only because it had been delayed. Then we sat in the plane for over half an hour. Altogether, it took off more than an hour late, so we missed our flight from Chicago to Minneapolis."

Miinukset: "Flight was delayed in Frankfurt due to technical issues. That was fixed, but ended up missing the flight to Minneapolis. Lufthansa provided vouchers to hotel and shuttle to the hotel (holiday inn express) and back to the airport. We stood out in the cold for 45 mins but the shuttle did not show up. Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

Plussat: "The help from the checking agent after we found out Lufthansa canceled my daughter and mine flys coming back home without any explanation and notification"

Miinukset: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

Plussat: "We had a very short connection as a result of a long delay in our flight from Athens to Munich. Lufthansa held the gate open and helped us get on board tom our flight to Chicago. The plane was big, roomy and the seats were comfortable. There were adequate number of toilets so people didn't have to stand in long lines. The crew was very friendly in an efficient way, not like in Asian airlines where the passenger gets coddled. I particularly appreciated the serving of water/juices every so often to stay hydrated."
Miinukset: "They could have made the transfer easier by having a trolley to move us instead of having us run through the airport. I am 70 and have had both knees replaced. While I can walk just fine, running was very difficult."

Plussat: "Professional crew. Excellent service. Punctual. Efficient boarding in Munich. Good communication from pilot"

Miinukset: "It was awful. The staff was more concerned with flirting with guests than everyone else. The seats were absolutely terrible. Getting off the flight the flight attendant had her back turned to everyone but made sure that the guests in first class were greeted as they discarded the air craft. As soon as she left everyone else from economy off the plane she didn’t even say have a good day, rather she had a nasty look on her face. This will be the last time I fly Lufthansa."

Miinukset: "Unorganized boarding. Back of the plane seats should be boarding first, after babies and old people. I was stopped by the people in front of the plane putting away their luggage and standing in the aisle. Not enough room between the rows. Passenger in front of me most picture straight into my face"

Plussat: "Munich airport on other hand. We got to the airport several hours in advanced. Everything from getting a boarding pass to checking and weighing in your own bag was electronically. Long lines and majority of the systems were not working. After trying several machines and being directed into 3 different lines I finally was able to check my bag in. I had to leave my other family members who were flying with me as they were in another line. At the machine to check my bag in , a airport worker ran up to my bag and slammed it onto the ground as well as ripped off my luggage tags. My bag was upright on the conveyer belt instead of on its side , but how rude the airport workers are, is rediculous. After I asked why she did that she just began ordering me around to move my bag after I got my bag through the machine I asked to speak to a manager as the airport worker was extremely rude and unprofessional. No one would give me the time of day and the same airport working out her hand in my face saying repeatedly goodbye in German. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. Trying to get through security a few travelers on a thin patience level started pushing people in line trying to by pass others it was so very chaotic workers had to go in between. Those travelers were complaining, because disabled travelers had a separate line that was faster. The worst airport experience I've ever had. Once on the plane everyone was pleasant. Crew was very helpful and always willing to assists"
Miinukset: "There was a child on the plane that was screaming and crying on and off for several hours. The parents didn't do anything to keep the child calm. Before we got to Chicago eveyone had to be seatbelt s before landing and the flight attendant asked eveyone to buckle up. The mother of the baby wouldn't listen and began yelling at flight crew. I think the flight crew did a great job, the passenger and child were very disruptive making the flight at times very uncomfortable. I wouldn't suggest infants or toddlers flying for such long trips. No one wants to listen to a child screaming at the top of their lungs."

Plussat: "I used to travel on Lufthansa almost exclusively until I had a very disturbing incident in Munich with a flight attendant. I refused to fly Lufthansa for quite a few years after that. That being said, the crew were attentive to passengers and the meals were reasonable. The seats were more comfortable than on LOT and Austrian. There were quite a few decent choices among the media during the flight."
Miinukset: "During my flight, my cell phone turned on at some point and downloaded some emails using the airplane's data connection. I will be needlessly charged for this. Once I noted that I was logged on, I tried to see if I could do other stuff before quickly logging off. It seems like it was totally worthless."

Plussat: "The food & service by flight attendants was phenomenal. Seating on the 747-8 in economy class was also comfortable."

Miinukset: "Once I got in I was given a middle seat, which I would not have chosen had I been able to check in prior for this flight. After this we were given great service until half way through the flight when I was becoming quite thirsty and kept trying to signal the flight attendant based on my help button, but no one came, so I had to stop a flight attendant that was passing so I could ask for some water to drink. Overall, the flight was OK, even though I felt a little crammed in my seat and the need to fish for a flight attendant just to get water was a hassle."

Plussat: "It was my daughter's 16th birthday and one of the spunky crew members helped us to create a little celebration. That was very memorable! Otherwise the flight was late (which was OK, the captain kindly kept us informed), but the plane was clean and quiet. The bathrooms on the lower level provided a space to stretch, but as always, they get pretty dirty on a long-haul flight. Price was quite good. I always feel the flights originating from Europe are nicer than those originating in the US."
Miinukset: "The food was stuck in the past, roll, white cheese, white cake with sugary fruit, somewhat wilted small salad and a pretty greasy chicken dish with polenta and by that point, stewed veggies. I am not accustomed to eating like that and was disappointed (though hungry!). Not a whole lot of room in my seat, I'm 5'6" and slim, but at least the seats recline and glide forward a bit and the head rest bends to catch your head IF you can nod off. I appreciate the civility that still exists under stressful circumstances."

None of these things were done as were booked even when presented with confirmation number provided by the central booking office. To top it off my daughter is allergic to peppers and her allergen free meal contained peppers."

Miinukset: "I paid for a reserved window seat so I could sleep. The passenger next to me was such a large man his arms and shoulder came way over into my seat space and I had to sit in an awkward and very uncomfortable position twisting my back for the entire flight. I cannot believe I paid extra to be in this position. My back still hurts from being in that position for 9 hours. I was miserable the entire way. And I paid extra for this discomfort. The big guy was plenty comfortable as he took up my seat space and slept well. Not happy at all with the flight and how Lufthansa crams people into seats."

Miinukset: "My chair did not recline at all, which make long fly very uncomfortable. When I complained to fly attendant, she said that there is nothing she can do about it. The table in front of the chair was also very hard to open."

Miinukset: "The crew in my section near the rear of the plane was competent, but snippy. None seemed approachable. I contrast them with the Lufthansa crew from Toronto to Munich who were short-handed but so pleasant even though they were overworked due to some crew members not showing up. Lufthansa food is average at best. The central restroom area on the MUC to ORD flight became filthy. Aren't crew members supposed to police that area? Or are passengers supposed to bring rubber gloves to clean it halfway through the flight?"

Plussat: "The crew from Kili to DarEsSalam was tired. A fresh crew worked from DarEsSalam to AMS and they were great."
Miinukset: "The boarding process was chaotic. The passengers in the first boarding group had to fight through the crowd because there were no boarding lanes."

Miinukset: "Transavia does not serve anything complementary, not even water. A flight between two countries that is five hours long must be better than this. I was not aware of Transavia doing that before I booked. I will never fly with them again"

Then had to wait another hour for checked luggage...."

Miinukset: "This return flight was much better than the flight going to Amsterdam. I believe the biggest factor was the type of aircraft. The old 747 just didn't meet expectations. The newer 777 on the way back was much more comfortable, with better amenities."

Miinukset: "This was just a short commuter flight from Lyon to Amsterdam for connection."

Plussat: "Nothing!"
Miinukset: "We were told they were holding our flight, we ran 3 terminals and they’d already left."

Plussat: "KLM was a great experience compared to Airitalia. The food was good, the flight attendants were very helpful."

Plussat: "The crew were really helpful with people who had tight connections because of the delayed flight"

Thank you for offering a dietary option that is compassionate toward animals and contributes less to climate change! Now if only the planes were powered by clean, renewable energy... Hopefully that will become a reality someday very soon! Oh, and also the crew on this flight was exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you so much!"
Miinukset: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Miinukset: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."

Plussat: "Flight attendants tried their best given what they had to work with."
Miinukset: "They can not retire these old Boeing 747's soon enough. Due to mechanical problems, our flight arrived at LAXfour and a half hours late and further problems with the cargo door caused an additional one hour delay of our take off."

Plussat: "KLM fed a sandwich even though the flight was only 2 hours. The crew was pleasant. Getting through the Amsterdam airport to catch a connecting flight with only an hour to do so was no big deal. Airport staff was pleasant and helpful."

Plussat: "The crew were very friendly and accomodating, plane was clean and boarding amd disembarking was efficiently handled."
Miinukset: "55 minute delay was not welcome."

Plussat: "Seat reassignment went well. Lounge was a pleasant surprise (highly recommend if you fly out of / through Helsinki)"
Miinukset: "It makes little sense to be on a priority boarding, when you are checked-in, documents checked and …… then wait for 20 or so minutes standing on your feet waiting for actual boarding to begin"

Plussat: "Larger airplane, good seat."

Plussat: "We've lucky to sit in the emergency exit row. Lots of space!"

Plussat: "Everything! I never knew that Finnair was such a great airline."
Miinukset: "Honestly, nothing could have been better."

Plussat: "Helsinki is a convenient connection to fly to the U.S. One of Finnair planes was damaged earlier in Chicago and they used AirItaly to operate this flight. I was traveling with a recent wrist fracture and I was lucky I had an empty seat next to me that allowed me to move my arm a lot to avoid swelling."
Miinukset: "Our boarding was an hour and a half delayed"

Plussat: "The crew is excellent. Very friendly, professional, and helpful. Both on board and at the desk inside the airport. They listen to your needs and respond the best they can. Seats are comfortable enough for Economy. Good selection of movies to watch. The flight was on time and arrived even a little earlier than expected."
Miinukset: "The food was filling, but not particularly tasty. For those seated toward the back, there was no choice. Although maybe there was no choice to begin with. Normally, on international flights, for the first (bigger) meal at least, you are given two choices, such as meat or vegetarian, beef or chicken. The food itself wasn't great. The salad was below average on both flight, from and to Chicago. So was the desert. Drinks are offered once with each meal in very small glasses. Although there is a bottle of water from the start."

Plussat: "Environmentally mindful with some packaging"
Miinukset: "There were no menu options for vegetarians on either meal. Several screens were not working, despite multiple reboot attempts."

Plussat: "Good selection of movies. Cool flight data display."
Miinukset: "Seems colder than other flights I've had."

Miinukset: "Never made it to Chicago on original flight due to delays."

Plussat: "Crew was nice and helpful"

Miinukset: "Plane was 1 hour late and missed my flight."

Plussat: "Fast boarding, fast taxiing, cabin crew was friendly."
Miinukset: "In flight services are naturally really limited during the short distance domestic flights."

Plussat: "Entrees were great and we appreciated receiving two meals. Like the bottle of water, blanket and pillow."
Miinukset: "Seating is tight in coach. Desserts need help. The movie selection was OK but not great."

Plussat: "I was able to change my flight quickly by one phone call to Finnair customer service to this earlier flight. I got an upgrade to Business Class where they call me by my name. Food and beverages were very good and staff so friendly that I was surprised what has happened to them :)"
Miinukset: "Difficult to complain anything. In-flight entertainment is typically very minimal on these europe flights."

Plussat: "People, service and food were great. Everyone had free blankets, pI'll own and earbuds. Cost was also great."

Plussat: "Very friendly and efficient service. Food on this flight was surprisingly good. All families traveling with children got gifts from the airline. Nice touch!"
Miinukset: "I flew economy class and my seat was not the best. I was in between two big guys. I suppose that was just bad luck."

Plussat: "Was great on the way to Helsinki and extremely poor on the return trip."
Miinukset: "Seat pitch was horrible! Almost as bad as United and American. Very uncomfortable!"

Plussat: "Airport was very comfortable to be at, Flight Crew was nice and helpful. Great movie selection to my taste. Plane landed"
Miinukset: "The temperature during the flight made my experience very uncomfortable. It was way too cold. I know that it could get chilly at the board and do take warm clothes with me just in case, but this was way too cold. Neither blanket nor my stuff helped. Another thing - I was sitting in the raw 50, and at the 49th raw crew ran out of chicken with only pasta left. ))) This happens, I get it. I've had it actually happened to me before on British Airways flights too couple of times. So it's not too big of a deal. I just wish that pasta tasted better)))"

Plussat: "Crew was awesome. Entertainment was good."
Miinukset: "Plane was late leaving Helsinki due to broken latch, which made us late getting into Chicago. After landing we waited at least 45 minutes to get to a gate. It took at least 30 minutes to get off the plane and then getting through customs was a nightmare. Arrival board at O'Hare said plane was on time, but listed gate as 0, which of course doesn't exist so our ride home had no idea what was going on or what was taking so long and ended up waiting over three hours for us to get through everything to meet them."

Miinukset: "They run out of food choices by the time they got to me."

Miinukset: "We had to sit on the runway for a very long time after landing and I missed my connecting flight. It also took a very long time to get a hotel assignment because I was stuck in Chicago overnight. The finnair air agents at ohare were not very understanding or helpful. I was sent from their line to American Airlines and then back again. They were slow. We waited in the line for a long time for someone to come and help us. overall they were not very apologetic regarding the fact that I was stuck there overnight. It took soooo long to get to the hotel. I arrived there well after midnight. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED SO CLOSE TOGETHER. NO LAYOVER TIME IN BETWEEN MEANS MISSED CONNECTIONS! THIS HAPPENED BOTH WAYS ON MY TRIP. VERY ANNOYING"

Plussat: "It was interesting that the flight from Helsinki to Chicago served a Indian style dinner comprising of lentils, rice and chickpeas. I liked that too, though I prefer the meditarranean fare. My kids liked the macaroni and meat dinner. The plane was clean and comfortable"
Miinukset: "The flight attendants could have been a bit more cordial and smiling. The dessert was only a choclate. Would have liked something better. Entertainment needed more variety. Boarding was a bit of a mess as they did not let families board first and were not very accomodative of families with small children, though I had a 9 year old, but there was a family with two very small children and they were not very helpful to them."

Miinukset: "Completely destroyed our itenerary"

Plussat: "many choices of films to watch was great too! Like that you served Finnish food!"

Plussat: "Entertainment, quick de boarding, food tastes good, free drinks"
Miinukset: "Extra long boarding process and the air conditioner was broken. We sat there like that for at least 30 minutes. Also, the airline had overbooked so we weren't able to check in the day before and pick our seats. That was a huge inconvenience."

Plussat: "Entertainment options were fine. Crew was courteous. Boarding was fast. Flight was on time."
Miinukset: "Economy seats were more cramped than other international economy flights I have been on. My knees were against the seat in front of me the entire 9-hour flight. There were supposed to be 2 options for meal, but by the time I was served there was only one remaining. The meal itself was passing."

Plussat: "Boarding and de-boarding was quick"
Miinukset: "We had a very rude male flight attendant that argued with us when they didn't have a vegetarian meal for my wife even though we checked that box when buying our tickets. My wife ate two bread rolls for dinner before the next meal 7 hours later. Later, when the second meal was served, he muttered a smart assed reply to my wife after he handed her food to her. After that meal service he offered everyone coffee except us."

Plussat: "My flight was very pleasant and comfortable. It was one of the few times I was actually able to fall asleep on a plane. I also like that this is the first airline that served me blueberry juice which I thought was good."
Miinukset: "My only dislike was that we left 45 minutes late. Maybe it was not a good situation for some passengers who had to connect immediately, but I still made it in time for my connecting flight."

Miinukset: "The entertainment kept shutting off, and the crew had to reset it about 5 times. They were very apologetic, and kept trying until finally getting it fixed."

Plussat: "The food was surprisingly pretty good"
Miinukset: "It was an old plane (A330-300). The seats are not very comfy, not much leg-room, and not very stable (i.e., when others are getting up in front or behind you)"

Plussat: "The food and the crew were excellent."
Miinukset: "My family's seats were separated by several rows. The airport gate was not manned until several minutes before boarding time. We had to ride a bus to board the plane. There was an extra passport check. The plane had a very old and outdated entertainment system."

Plussat: "Finnair lost my luggage on my way to Sweden. However, they upgraded my seat to Business class during my flight home from Helsinki. It was great!"

Plussat: "The gluten free meal was pretty bad."

Plussat: "Crew service is excellent"
Miinukset: "Sitting in the cramped economy seats was a 9 hour torture"

Plussat: "Friendly cabin crew and reasonable food in business class."
Miinukset: "Seat was uncomfortable and there was no possibility to charge mobile device."

Plussat: "Excellent service by Norra, airline operating this flight. Nice gift for AY member as we are soon near May 1st."
Miinukset: "Entertainment and net connection is basically nothing but well, flight is short whatsoever."

Plussat: "Staff were friendly and serve me as a special member perfectly well and by proper attitude."
Miinukset: "No any level entertainment in a plane and space pretty tight in an airplane. Plane was oversold."

Miinukset: "seats are not comfortable, also I do not like finnair in-flight payment system as that is very slow"
