Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "Mostly as a mother traveling with a stroller, they expected me to haul everything on my own. Stroller,car seat, child, two bags! They were impatient and impolite, unresponsive when I used the steward attendance call for water or to move my child's tray (for over two hours)... there was much I didn't care with this airline, from their customer call service (I filed a complaint) to the state in which my box arrived in Mumbai (again filed a complaint but no one folllowed up with me). I wouldn't recommend this airline to anyone, especially if traveling with a child."

A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."
Miinukset: "Only issue was that the videos kept freezing up, though they did remedy that problem. And I wish they had a foreign hub further to the west. Much as I loved the airline, I would only fly them again to Turkey or further east. It took me 22 hours door to door from Venice to Portland, Maine, when it shouldn't have been much more than half that. It's just too Far East to be a very practical option for visiting Western Europe from the US."

Got off the plane from the flight from Barcelona to Istanbul, to connect to New York and first thing this woman insists that me and my friend should go to exit and baggage claim instead of international transfers. My friend had to get a visa at check out and all the trouble of trying to get back into the gate simply because of a STUPID AIRPORT STAFF who doesn't know what they are doing. I have had trouble before with airport staff who doesn't know what they are doing or give wrong directions. That is why will avoid flying with them to Europe."
Plussat: "The crew on the flight was trying to do his best - but too late and too little."
Miinukset: "The flight was delayed in 22.5 hours. No information or instructions where to go or what to do was given. When little info was obtained by shouting of chinese-speaking passengers, it was in mostly in chinese - not English. For 22 hours we actually did not know what to expect. When we finally were told that there is a flight - huge lines to check in. No help with connecting flights was offered. when I asked to reserve a connecting flight - I was put on a connecting flight that I missed anyway because of further on-going delay. When I reached Istanbul - no help was actively offered. I had to arrange my connecting flight. No compensation was offered. When we asked for some food and water, we were sent to the lowest level lounge in Ataturk airport. Very poor Turkish Airlines experience!"

The breakfast was ok, fruit, muffin and ok cereal bar, too carb-heavy though. The entertainment offered my options. I particularely enjoyed the "Deep-Sleep" relaxation audios which indeed helped me to get some shut-eye during the overnight flight that left the East Coast late afternoon."
Miinukset: "The comfort in the economy class is mediocre at best. We had more space on the inner-German connection, see next review, than the international flight. The beverage service was skimpy. Flight arrived Dusseldorf on time and then spend 20 minutes on the ground, waiting for a gate, resulting in a scramble to reach our connection."

Miinukset: "My passport was stolen on the overnight train I took to get to the airport. It wasn't until I was off of the train that I went to grab my passport and credit card and realized my tiny little purse was gone. I had to rush to the US Embassy, get a new passport, and then rush back to the airport. I didn't arrive until 40 minutes after my flight had left and I was a nervous wreck. Unfortunately Lufthansa staff could not care less. The guy at the ticket counter even looked at my new urgent passport that had the issue date listed as today, so clearly this all had just happened as it was only 10:50am still. What did Lufthansa do? Well they told me if I wanted to fly out the same day, I would have to pay 2700 Euro additional! My jaw dropped and then he said I could fly out tomorrow for an additional 675 Euro instead. I was still in shock as I felt like I had just been taken advantage of with my stolen passport and credit card and now it's happening again. I asked if there was any way he could find something cheaper and he said that I paid so cheap for this flight that I would need to speak with the agency I booked with to help me out more and then he dismissed me. Let me have you know that I booked this fare during an amazing sale that Lufthansa was having and I booked it directly through their website and now it was being held against me. There was no offer to pay something like a $200 change your flight fee. Instead he let that plane leave with an empty seat because I didn't have the 2700 Euro to pay him. Here I was, alone, nervous, in a foreign country, and I had to get my thoughts together the best I could and I immediately started looking up my own flights. I ended up having to book a flight with a different company and just forfeiting any kind of credit that Lufthansa would have applied to their overly exorbitant priced flights. Good job Lufthansa for being the worst customer care service I have ever experienced... and I have flown over 20 airlines and over 100 flights."

Miinukset: "They lost the luggage for nearly all the passengers on the flight. I don't know how it happened, but they "forgot" to load suitcases for over 100 people, and they never even told us. We all just waited for our luggage at the baggage claim and only after we all complained that our luggage was missing did we find out that none of it made it to our destination. Now, we're without luggage for 2 of our 7 days in Italy."
Miinukset: "One of the boarding crew member in Bucharest, a younger bearded male wearing glasses, was extremely rude to my husband. Boarding started a bit late, and I had to run to the ladies room. The ladies room was crowded and housekeeping was frustrated about the mess left behind by some ladies. Meanwhile my husband was approached by the above described crew member. When my husband told the crew member that I was at the bathroom, the crew member start yelling at my husband stating : I don't care, call her, u are late". When I finally arrived, there were 2 more couples behind us. People were also at the plane's door awaiting to board and find their seats. We were not late. The crew member was totally unprofessional by the way he approached my husband, the tone of his voice and his comments. My husband doesn't speak Romanian and he told me about the incident while walking my towards the plane. I couldn't go back and get the crew member's name."

This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

We were told that it was just a half an hour delay by the man that was informing us of the delay and then we were then told by a woman that it was going to be over an hour. We weren’t told any specifics of why the plane was delayed, other than: “ the engineers are looking at the issue now”. We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"

Once we landed in MIA they helped us maneuver through the maze to reach the customs & immigration area quickly. All in all a great experience."

I would NOT recommend AA to anyone! This was full responsability of AA!"

Flights delayed, poor protocols to accommodate passengers in other flights.AA does not take responsibility of reimburse or compensate the passenger for cancellation of flights for technical problems of their aircraft even thought the flight is operate by AA. Zero help and communication with airlines (AA and LATAM) involved with the delays, lost connections or frights cancellations. I should be reimburse or compensate for all the inconvenience generated."
