Plussat: "I bought a ticket for three persons: my wife, my daughtet and me. I am Nigerian, my daughter American, and my wife's Turkish. However, because of the diplomatic row between Turkey and the U.S., my daughter was refused entry into Turkey. Turkish airlines' policy was to refund the ticket of any American caught in this row. They said they will refund my one month old daughter's ticket. However, my wife and i will not receive a refund. We bought the three tickets together. Our ticket numbers ended in 235...51, 235...52, and 235...53. However, they will not refund our whole money by cancelling the ticket but only that of my daughter. So this is the question: Does Turkish airline want me to leave my one-month old baby in the U.S. and tavel with my wife to Turkey? What kind of parents will we be if we were to abandon our daughter to take a trip to Turkey. Even, the people in Turkish airlines will judge us evil parents, yet that was exactly the only option they gave us. Lose your daughter or lose your ticket money. They will not even just change our iternary or give us another destination we suggested without penalties which are almost 3/4 of our initial ticket price. They just made away with our money. You cannot say, 'We are cancelling tickets for American citizens' but make no exception for parents of infant citizens. This is the height of criminality. So, me and my family couldn't take the flight and lost $1500. We had to buy another ticket by airfloat to get to Georgia. But Turkish airlines refused to even contact us on the refund for my daughter. A truly criminal enterprise."
Miinukset: "They had a vague refund policy for Americans, forgetting that American infants can also have none-American parents who are as much victims in this as the American infant. For them to be myopic and keep repeating talking points of their refund policy is unfortunate to say the least."

Plussat: "Almost nothing specially the flight from Dhaka, If I known that the level of business class is like that, I would have bought economy"

Miinukset: "Flying from Barcelona to get a flight to Boston from Istanbul was a mistake on our part. We saved money but were awake for more than 34 hours"

Miinukset: "Food: they gave you a menu so you can pick up an option (by half way through lunch service they run out of one of the options) They also didn't provide enough water, it's a transatlantic flight! Few options for beverages. Boarding: messy. You have a seating section for a reason (besides pricing). Also connecting flights from IST to the US are horrible. Four point checks and manual screening."

Miinukset: "The flight left early, without me. Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

How does an airline give a bag tag to a passenger without putting it in the bag???? 12 days and no bags.... terrible call center service too no help at all."

Miinukset: "My headphone - outlet did not work - had to hold the connector manually the whole flight tonhear something of the movie. But the boarding procedure was far worse - it took almost 1 hour standing up due to new rules of technical equipment and all bags having to be opened. I understand safety goes above all - but off you know You have this time consuming process - do it in an area where people can have a seat while waiting!"

Plussat: "Excellent service, staff and food. All flights ran smooth, food and beverages were great and service from the crew was beyond great. During the fight, besides the food and drinks, we had lots of entertainment and games in the tv devices. I will definitely fly with Turkish Airlines again in the future."

Miinukset: "Foods are not so good, standard. Crews didn't smile. They don't smile why? They don't Greet. Very poor service."

Miinukset: "According to the menu we were supposed to have a choice of chicken or eggplants. When it was my turn - it turned out that there was no chicken left. Fine. Eggplants with some kind of lasagna. This lasagna was just old! Old and dry. And cold. It was definitely not fresh. I asked to warm it up. Got another one. Which was not better actually. That was really annoying. Only after one more complaint I was offered some kosher (and now really good) meal instead."

Plussat: "The included meal/drinks is always a bonus on these shorter flights and makes a difference."
Miinukset: "I had a pillow of my own and so it didn't matter too much, but I noticed the lack of a pillow on this early morning flight."

Plussat: "Had a wonderful experience in Istanbul for my layover. Turkish airlines took care of accommodations and the hotel was high above my expectations. If you have a layover longer than 10 hours in Istanbul and are flying Turkish airlines, they will take care of your accommodations and wil treat you wonderfully."
Miinukset: "The seats and space were TINY for an eleven hour flight, and I am a small girl. Nearly impossible to get comfortable. The exceptional service was my reasoning for the good rating. I would fly again but will probably pay for an upgraded seat"

Miinukset: "The distance between seats is pretty small. It was very uncomfortable 11 hours flight for a 6 foot tall individual. On our flight back I called flight attendant several times, however no one came and each time "call attendant" light was turned off remotely."

Miinukset: "Slow boarding to the plane, passengers don't respect the different boarding class rule and the staff was not enforcing it. Passengers were standing in the plane after it landed but while it was still driving on the runway and they were opening the overhead luggage compartments risking other passengers health with falling luggage. Also since passengers were standing and the plane was driving on the runway, they were not stable and moving sideways and one of them hit a sitting passenger in the head by mistake. The on-flight entertainment system didn't work from FRA to IST The staff did not do a safety check (check if seat belts on all passengers, seats are in upright position) prior to the plane flying Overall I flew with them 4 times (2 way ticket, with connection flights) and all flights were late to depart and eventually arrive late."

We asked if the flight was full and she replied with a face gesture that indicated 'no' (it was a 1.50am flight) so we asked if possible to upgrade with points and she totally ignored, spoke in Turkish to 2 other check in colleagues, printed the boarding passes and almost threw them down on the counter without responding on upgrade. We felt too intimidated to ask any more. Also our mileage points for this sector of our travel were not booked to our KrisFlyer accounts so wondering if she did not capture at check in."
Miinukset: "The cabin was quite warm and unable to adjust any air flow to the seat. Because the flight wasn't full my husband was able to move to a vacant group of seats and lie down so eventually cooled down and got some sleep. Otherwise excellent flight"

Plussat: "Movies selection and food was great"
Miinukset: "I was sitting in a row with 4 year old and her mother. It wasn't comfortable for them and for me at all, as the child was moving and talking constantly. Well, it's kid, I understand. But as I was going to use restroom I noticed that there was about 6-8 rows where there was only 1 person in 3 seats. Share and spread the space"

Miinukset: "I had no (NO) room between my knees and the seat in front of me. I'm a 5'10" woman - I can only imagine what a man over 6' must experience. The lines were chaotic, people pushing from behind to get into position in a line that wouldn't be moving anytime soon anyway."

Miinukset: "LaGuardia Airport was the worst airport I have ever been in. It was so crowded that people were sitting on the floor! The gates are squished together with totally inadequate seating. It was extremely noisy."

Miinukset: "I didn't like how the cabin temperature was freezing cold. My wife and I were wearing long pants and sweaters and were still freezing. We asked the flight attendants twice for blankets and each time they said no. I know they had extra blankets but for some reason they did not give us one. I thought that sitting in comfort+ they'd at least give us the comfort of a blanket but I guess not... Oh well."

Miinukset: "The gate agent appeared annoyed when I requested a seat change a couple of hours prior to boarding. She didn’t offer assistance or an explanation. Just looked at me like ‘ in your dreams’. And flight attendants should really practice smiling more. Snacks offered on 5.5 hour flight we’re pretty pathetic."

Miinukset: "That I couldn't change my seat (I didn't want in the confort zone) just in an empty row that it was behind me."

Miinukset: "The booking was done through vayama and the confirmation numbers didn't match with delta's. It was confusing. I had to talk to a delta rep and give her the eticket # and at that point, she gave me a new confirmation #, that I was able to use to check in with on delta"

Plussat: "I have always known of airlines to offer preboarding to those military members in uniform or on official orders. Delta took it one step further and allows prior service members to board also."

Miinukset: "A tiny bag of pretzels is a stingy snack. Aeromexico gave us a croissant with two pieces of cheese,applesauce and a square of chocolate."

Miinukset: "Despite having 15 open seats on the earlier flight, I needed to pay $75/person to take the earlier flight. I chose not to do this. Would I have loved to get home 2 hours earlier."

Plussat: "My flight was delayed 40 minutes in Detroit after a 3 hour lay over we boarded the plane. Then 45 minutes into the flight they said the landing gear light came on and they would be going back to change plans. My mother with Lymes disease was waiting 3 hours in Providence supposed to arrive a 11:50 instead 2:50am we were so tired missed a day of vacation."

Miinukset: "Seats are tight for anyone over 6 ft. I am exactly 6ft and leg room sucked. Both to our destination and back, my wife and I both had faulty touch screens that would not allow one of us to watch the free movies. Mine was on the way to our destination and hers didn't work on the way back. This made the flight long for one of us. That stuff should be checked on a regular basis."

Miinukset: "My one piece of hard shell luggage has a special, difficult way of latching. As long as nobody opens it, it stays fine for shipping. The problem is your greedy Chinese luggage handling thieves who work for your airlines in Chinese airports. Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. That is why you will always rank as a third world backward primitive society even though you buy expensive airplanes that you don’t build and dress your people up like professionals which they aren’t. AS LONG AS Chinese airport luggage people are dishonest and cannot be trusted, your entire airline is a failure. That is not prejudice against Chinese people. I know some honest good ones. They are all Christians, the kind of good people the corrupt Chinese government hates. An atheistic country is an evil country. Do not expect to be respected by honest people. You people clearly do not deserve it. You are still in the stone age when it comes to professionalism which requires total honesty, a quality which your luggage handlers consider to be dispensable. Such cave men they are!"

Plussat: "I've never seen such a modern and easy to use entertainment system before. All the movies are complimentary."

Plussat: "Long flight but smooth despite delays"
Miinukset: "Delayed by 2.5 hours."

Miinukset: "I did not like being assigned to a seat that did not recline at all and was given no up front warning so it was a very unwelcome surprise at the start of my 6+ hour flight."

Miinukset: "Missed original connection, booked on a three hour later flight that was delayed another hour, then three hours. Finally switched to Alaska 2 hours prior to departure. Was assured our bags would be on Alaska flight. They weren't. One eventually showed up in Spokane at 2 a.m. on a Delta flight the other on a separate Alaska flight at 3 a.m."

Miinukset: "The flight was delayed due to a crew member no show and eventually cancelled. I was unable to go to Iowa to see my family."

Miinukset: "The seat was narrow for business class."

Plussat: "I had a connection flight which would not be for another 11 hours so I left the airport to get some sleep coming back the same carry-on I have with me now cannot come with me they want me to pay 40euro. In the meantime the flight is 40% empty and plenty of over head and yes is the same size of plane I came in the first place. However the agent was nice after I explain my situation she not charges me."

Miinukset: "Service desk personnel at the gate were very helpful and attentive. The plane was only 1/2-2/3 full, which made boarding quicker. The food was tasty and coffee was great! We were also offered juice twice during the flight. Bathrooms were clean. Since the plane wasn't full, they weren't dirty even at the end of the flight. I brought my own headphones, but the stewards provided them if you need them. My one big complaint was that our seats did not recline, thus making any kind of shut-eye near impossible. Our plane left and hour late, but the pilots stepped on the gas and we got in on time!"

Plussat: "TSA in Philadelphia were very rude and aggressive. This is not Lufthansa's fault, but LH can at least pass on word that their passengers were hassled unnecessarily by TSA personnel."

Plussat: "Flight crew made up time to arrive on time despite late arrival. They are pretty amazing - they got a plane hundreds of miles in the same time it took the ground crew to get my bag from the plane to the baggage claim."
Miinukset: "Frankfurt is just an awful airport. Too many landings and not enough infrastructure. Also tired of planes having to park thousands of yards from the terminal. The time to get the bag is as long as the flight. Each about 55 minutes. There is very little about German efficiency here."

Miinukset: "Lufthansa switched us three times , and then when we got to the airport in toronto it was air Canada. They found our grandparents tickets but not ours. Ridicule our flight was supposed to be only 1h layover, inatead it’s 6 and we are going to miss all our next travel accommodations."

Overall very poor service, at the very least there should have been a guideline of what steps to take now in the cancelling of the flight E-mail and where to call."

Actually, I was running there and got to the gates at 9:40 AM but air hostess said that I've already missed it. They said that I had enough time and that's my fault - I even should be thankful that I don't pay for another flight that I am going to be flying in 7 hours. Bottom line: I got to Kiev at 9:20 PM and moreover, the flight landed 30 mins late. It never happened to me, despite I've been more than on 25 flights. I am shocked by employee's behavior and the situation in general. Would never recommend Lufthansa airline to anyone."

Miinukset: "No legroom in coach. The person in front of me was sitting in my lap. They are the only airline that weighs your handbag, the luggage you take onboard. E en of it fits the size requirements they weigh it and make you confirm. They don't care if your checked luggage is underweight but your hand luggage is overweight and both add up to less than what you're allowed overall. Makes no sense and is such a useless hassle."

Plussat: "Being seated in econmony plus. Everything behind the scenes that i didn't see that made this flight safe. Very thankful. Didn't matter that not enough coffee was onboard for breakfast."

Miinukset: "There should be an attendant at the entrance to the boarding area. Too many people try to line up and to into the queue before they need to. Either they don't understand the language or the procedures. There should be people walking around to answer questions on boarding procedures or better announcements in several languages. the Asians were extremely confused as were the Germans we encountered. They never announced for people with disabilities to get ahead of others. It was a big "casino" as the Italians say when everyone charges the boarding area. People could be put in groups according to where their seating is, making it easier for all."

Not even an "I'm sorry for the delay" from crew or ground staff. Everyone seemed overworked."
