Miinukset: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."
Plussat: "I thought the food was excellent on both flights light , fresh and tasty. The seats were very comfortable and the staff very helpful. I was very happy with Turkish airlines."
Plussat: "Turkish had several flights departing close In time and they only had three agents at the check in counter, makin* the process painful at 4:30am. After on hour in line only about 10 passenger seat were checked in. By th way all the security screening procedures ran very smooth and quick, it was Turkish procesdures and man powe4 that was poor. Boarding the airplanes was chaos, both in Tel Aviv and Istanbul."

Miinukset: "Making my long trip for 9 hours seating beside big fat guy takes his seat and half of mine, asking the crew to change my seat and telling me there is no space available and I can see there's free seats it was so rude, my back hurts me a lot this day and the day next because i was seating with slope."
Plussat: "The water"
Miinukset: "There was a malfunction on the aircraft after the first taxi attempt. I understand that these things happen but there was zero communication from the captain or the crew. Because there was no power, the A/C was not operational and the cabin grew extremely hot. No water was distributed, and no attempt to communicate the situation with the passengers. The pilot power cycled the aircraft numerous times, which is normal to reset the various systems, but this made many passengers nervous. Finally the issue was resolved and we went on our merry way. In short, all crew-passenger issues could have been resolved with more communication and water. Go forth and sin not again."
Plussat: "The flight didn't take too long"
Miinukset: "The staff at the airport is really rude and just tries to push you off to another person. When you do finally talk to someone they will give you a short blunt answer and try to get rid of you. The WiFi is horrible and hardly works. There aren't any quiet places to sleep and many of the phone charging stations cost money."
Plussat: "The food and beverage selection, as well as the service in business class was excellent. Initially I dreaded the long layover of 8 hours. But I found the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge. It was so spectacular that I didn't want to leave it. I found a small movie theatre equipped with leather oversized recliners and slept. I was told that the 2 story lounge is 6000 square meters."
Miinukset: "The business class seating is old and not as comfortable as the newer herring bone configurations. Privacy could be improved."
Miinukset: "Trying to reclaim our laptops at the end of the trip was a nightmare. They confiscated all electronic devices larger than a cellphone due to new Trump regulations (not their fault). Fine. But they were so disorganized about the process. When trying to reclaim the devices after the flight utter chaos ensued. That was their fault. Passengers were on the verge of violence and it could have been avoided by simply being more organized."

Plussat: "Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."
Plussat: "The service I received on Turkish Airlines was excellent. I live in rural Rwanda and it was really nice to actually sit back, relax, and not worry about getting to where I was going. The staff was courteous and friendly and even let me keep my can of tomato juice. These may seem like small things to you but it made me feel at home for the first time in over a year and I want you guys to know I truly appreciated it. In addition to that, the flight was actually affordable and I was able to make it to New York to surprise my mom for her 60th birthday. Job well done! Thanks again and best of luck! Plussat: "The whole experience was ruined by the missed flights on both sides of the trip. My flight from IST to KHI was missed because my lay-over was only one hour, and my flight from IAD left hour and half late. I had to spend extra 6 hours on IST airport"
Miinukset: "Poor customer service, rude airport staff in Istanbul, nobody speak English in airport. I had two 85 years old lady with me and they had wheelchair on their ticket, and a I asked the airport staff in Istanbul but, nobody care, that is bad experience in my life."

Miinukset: "Turkish airline randomly changed my seat assignments without any explanation to me. I also found out my connect flight was changed to much later and one causing me an eight hour delay and assemble airport. Again this was done without my knowledge I happen to randomly find out at the check-in station in Los Angeles. The manager was kind enough to switch me back to my old flight and seat assignments but it took an hour waiting. I will never fly Turkish again"

Miinukset: "These were probably the most uncomfortable seats I've ever flown in. I'm only 6 ft 1 inch, so I'm not unusual. I could not sit with my knees facing front; I had to splay them out. The tray table would not come all the way down flat before it hit my knees. If there were a lower rating than poor, the seats would have won it; Movies were among the worst ever. where do you get them?"

Plussat: "The service was outstanding, this is one of the best airlines I have ever flewn. Considering its elegancy and exquisite service. My twelve hours from Miami to Istanbul turned out to be less because of the amazing service I recieved. Very happy that this airline exist and cannot wait to go back and experience this great airline again."

Plussat: "I liked the service once on board. I liked that they had a separate ‘co bus’ to assist those passengers that had a connecting flight to get there quicker. There was candies offered as soon as we boarded them drinks and a Greek breakfast. The flight attendants were efficient."
Miinukset: "The flight was 1 hour and 30 minutes late! There was confusion as to which gate to go to for the flight once it was called. They did not call passengers by sections so everyone just crowded the gate waiting to board. It was a bit chaotic and overwhelming for staff and passengers. There was no entertainment and there was no legroom and I am 5’7” so I was quite uncomfortable."
Miinukset: "When I bought the ticket I made sure there was one piece of luggage allowed. When I checked in they said there is no baggage allowance and had to pay usd 69. I feel I have been duped. I should get a refund."
Plussat: "Cabin crew were excellent. Didn’t try the food because I was very sleepy. The business class cabin was pretty much economy seats with the middle blocked out. But I managed to sleep the entire flight. I have flown Aegean/Olympic on almost all their aircraft and I always look forward to my flight."
Miinukset: "Being everything economy seats they’re a bit stiff. I knew the flight was delayed but the airport monitors in Budapest didn’t update to indicate it was boarding."

Plussat: "The employees were very helpful and friendly. Food was not worse than what one can expect of an airline (about as “good” as a US airline’s, which is not a high standard to beat). The plane seemed recent and clean."
Miinukset: "The major problem was the lack of detail on their luggage policy. I am sure they can show the text clearly warning me about the fees for bringing a piece of luggage per person, but I missed it. Therefore, they charged me $35 per person for their registered bag. That’s probably how they “beat” their competitors’ prices. If you include the fees in your calculation, this might still be a good option, but make sure that you read the fine print, or be prepared to pay as “extra” what many airlines offer as basic."
Miinukset: "One thing that sticks out the most for me is how rude the airport crew are. A lot of people (including me, at first) were confused about the gate. One knows the gate isn’t always what it says on the boarding pass. Especially if printed from a different airport. Anyway, not knowing that the gate won’t show on the screens until about an hour before departure time, we were asking a lot of the ground staff about which gate etc. They were very rude and dismissive."

Plussat: "Once we landed in Athens, knowing that our next flight would be taking off in 5 minutes, we thought ther was no way that we'd make it. Instead, they had someone waiting for us when we got off of the flight and someone to run all 11 of us through the airport to the plane. Aegean held the flight because they knew 11 people from the Santorini flight were coming."
Miinukset: "Once on the plane, we ended up sitting there for another 30 minutes, even though it was already 20 minutes late waiting for us. When I asked the stewardess whether that meant that our bags were going to make the flight she said she'd have to check. She never came back. I then asked a second girl and she said that she'd have to check and she never came back. I finally asked again before landing and she supposedly went and asked someone and came back and said yes they made it. Got to baggage claim - no bags. We had another flight to catch back to the states, so we didn't have time to figure out the situation. We spent the next three days frantically calling Aegean, to no avail. Their customer service either wouldn't answer or would tell us to call London Heathrow lost and found, who wouldn't answer. Eventually, Delta found our bags and had to work with Lufthansa and their own boots on the ground at LHR to find the bags and get them back to us."

What a unpleasant surprise at check-in to find out it was super expensive airticket with only 8 kg of carry on! You are confusing people on purpose, I cant believe your service! And I was loyal customer for years and years. Well, time for change."

Miinukset: "Croatian Airline checkin service was good but was made to check in carry on. However, baggage clerk was extremely hostile and wanted to charge us for two bags for which we had prepaid. Would not accept our evidence of payment for the two bags. Finally accepted her mistake but Forced to pay 90€ For the extra bag. Ripoff!! Other airlines (Vueling, Air Europa) checked same bag as courtely, did not charge. First and last time flying Austrian."

I was told by staff that there would be a 300 Euro fee, plus the cost of the next flight. This broke my heart. why I wouldn't I simply be put on standby and get on the next flight? I ended up travelling by to Vienna by train, over the course of the next several days. I am a lone woman with a developmental disability, travelling to Europe for the first time. It was very disappointing to be treated this way. Thanks for reading."

I was total ignored when I asked for a serving. The boarding process was disorganized and the flight was delayed about an hour. Seat way too small for transatlantic. I weight 62kg and was sitting in a middle seat. Next time I'll have to get an upgrade."

Crew not helpful, Infant seat was purchased , instead I got infant ticket on lap, Car seat was taken away at the airport cuz of the type of Boarding pass that was given to us. Luggage missing at the destination airport .
We had something like 4 or 5 gate changes, plus a 30 minute delay. The cabin crew as somewhat more brusque than usual. Basically no food on the plane, but that's OK for a flight of this duration.
The crew is great. The seats were a bit small and there isn’t the ability to watch personalized programming like on the United planes.
I was not able to board due to my cancelations and now they’re asking me to pay $900’dollars for the ticket to be rebooked.
Your seats in economy are absurdly close together. I felt like I was locked in a box. I was so disappointed. I have previously flown Lufthansa many times and always held you in high regard. No more.
No screen map on in front of you to track the flight like Turkish air! No food or coffee for 2h30 just a small plain water and a very small piece of chocolate🤔

Miinukset: "I have flown on many budget airlines that were more comfortable than this flight. Hard uncomfortable chairs with a lack of leg space (and I'm only 1.70m). The food was poor and the service was worse- i pressed my call button for a drink mid-flight and it kept getting cancelled without a steward coming. Finally, after pressing the call button about 10 times a steward came and begrudgingly brought me a drink. Choice of movies was poor."

When we arrived late in FRA, the gate attendant was extremely rude while trying to rebook and actually left us in the middle of rebooking because her shift ended. No one came to take her place!! She actually swore at us!! We were only able to rebook by calling the Lufthansa call centre and had to spend a very uncomfortable overnight at the airport without any certainty of when we would fly out. Lufthansa finally got us out on the same flight as booked but 24 hours later. And then, of course, they lost our luggage. Terrible overall experience."

We had to delay our honeymoon by 12 hours and fly into a different airport. Delta was great though and the Luthanza agent who rescheduled us was also great."

There was already a group forming a line at zone 4 for a good 15mins and another group created another line just 5mins before boarding and the 1st group had to re-queue. A few of us voiced out to the floor crew but they did nothing. Earphones. Could be supplied first since the flight is suffisent for a movie.
Almost the only airline that offers free coffee and bread even in short 1 hour flights
A heads up on filling in an e-ticket prior to flight departure would have been helpful.

being a flight attendant and using spécial fare I apreciate being treated equally to the other pax, the fact that the crew, when I informed them of my status, went to check if I had a good seat ( no one beside me, to be able to get good rest.) Those are important gestures towards the person. I look to more flights with KLM
