I had to PURCHASE brand new tickets and go through a refunding debacle, not through Kayak but another third party whom actually held the tickets. FIASCO is the word! Kayak did not even recognize the cancellation and continued to try and check me in to flights i was not on. Such a headache.. I will not be using this service in the future"

There were no air vents above our seats (row 20 in that Airbus) and it got really hot before we were airborne."

I have never been on an international flight that made you pay for food and drinks. When I inquired why, the reason given was that this was a "short-haul international flight". Oh, I see. British Airways is now a discount airline."

I have had a different experience with different British Airways representatives. The customer service on the phone seemed good, but in person, it just felt like robots following policy unfortunately. I spent $150 for a roundtrip flight and could not use my "Return" portion of my ticket. I arrived to the security gate and I could not be let in. My flight was even delayed which should have allowed me time to scan through security but it did not. My phone is temporarily unavailable as it is in the shop for repair, while I navigate a foreign country without the use of maps or access to email so easily. I checked my email at a random hotel in London for 1.5 hours, and 30 mins after I left, apparently an email was sent by BA to me, alerting me that I could check-in my luggage, instead of having to take it on-board as carry-on. All these details would have been nice to know a little more ahead of time. I wish I could be refunded for my flight, as that was the last flight of the evening, and I ended up having to go to Air Lingus to pay nearly 300 pounds to get on their last flight back to Dublin. As a graduate student, working on my thesis and fulfilling a job here in Ireland as the final leg of my Master's degree, any money saved is a help. Forfeiting half my ticket, and purchasing a new one twice the price of my original was not something I was expecting. I was an emotional wreck getting on-board my other airline's flight. Just not a positive experience that resonated with me overall :( I wish I had more positive insight to share, especially on social media or Yelp about my experience to London and back with BA. Plane was small, and complimentary drinks were not served as every flight I have ever been on in 30 years, and that is several several dozen, have ALWAYS given at least a drink, even if they didn't have peanuts/pretzels. Pretty disappointing.."

I understand,that non of the domestic flights provide food but 1 nonalcoholic drink or water, and small pretzels or nuts are always offered free of charge, and additional refreshment is charged. Sad, this was not an option."

The only thing similar was the departure and arrival times into JFK. I made a long distance call from the UK and got a really obnoxious rep who was very condescending, dismissive and annoyed that I couldn't understand her pronounced accent . When I said, " pardon, could you please repeat that", she was very snippy and snapped at me! No wonder they have such crappy ratings/ reviews. She was absolutely no help whatsoever after I explained that my daughter was visually impaired and HAD to be on the same flight as I, all she told me was that there was no record of the convo I had claimed to have with their rep on 5/28 and then she hung up on me. I will never use kayak again nor its outsourced affiliates . I am pissed, Weibo Benwitz"

I understand this happens, but for the inconvenience BA should give some sort of compensation. After the long wait we were starving, but they ran out of all of the food choices. We were scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but ended up arriving after 22:00. this wasted our first night of our vacation in Rome. There was one passenger in particular who was yelling, swearing and causing a scene because of the flight delay. His rude behavior was rewarded with an upgrade to first class. The message this sends to your passsengers is that we should all be loud and obnoxious when problems arise. I was not impressed with my first experience with BA."

Plussat: "BA couldn't get our boarding passes to work no matter how many times they printed out new ones and we had to land into proper arrivals (though we were in transit in Heathrow) and tell five different groups of staff what was going on, even though it wasn't our problem but their computer glitch. One man at security was even rude to me, telling me not to just stand there. ( I had been told to stand there whilst they went and tried to remedy for the umpteenth time). When I showed him my disabled badge and said I would personally prefer NOT to be left standing for hours, he said 'so?'. It was a nightmare. It took hours and still wasn't sorted and in the end the immigration officers had to be called to the boarding area to allow us on the flight with non functioning boarding cards. It wasn't even our fault. REally upset about it."

Even so I do find there's a bit too much "attitude" shown by some members of staff. On my flight to London, a mother with a young child wanted hot water and the staff (middle aged British male) was trying to tell her repeatedly she should say "please" when she asks. She was asking politely so this behaviour was rather poor in my view."

Plussat: "Really pleased they fly to Austin,Texas direct from London. They give a very cost effective alternative to BA. We upgraded to Premium for a reasonable fee. We liked the masses of leg room but on a night flight it is impossible for the middle/window passenger to escape as all seats are back with footrests extended. The cabin crew were very good. The plane was new and very clean. Roast beef salad for breakfast was tasty if unusual."
Miinukset: "Low cost premium is rare, and some cost cutting is understandable. That said....Premium seats weren’t that comfortable. I’m not too tall (6 feet) but they didn’t support my back well. There was no music entertainment so ensure you bring your own. There is plenty of power. The film selection is the same in both directions and pretty limited. Not a problem if you are sleeping though. Note: When upgraded you don’t seem to get all your prepaid extras refunded and we couldn’t choose our seats in Premium. There is no business lounge in Austin. (There was in Gatwick). The Norwegian app never linked to my reservation automatically. Some synchronisation work required there. Unlike other premium flights the drinks service was pretty limited. I didn’t enjoy eating out of a cardboard box, but the food was tasty."
Plussat: "New Boeing Dreamliner plane was very comfortable. We successfully bid for an upgrade which was of course spacious. Most food and drink was complimentary."
Miinukset: "The movie selection was limited. If there was on board music I couldn’t find it. There are usb and power points so you can bring your own though. It was awkward to eat out of the meal boxes with little plastic cutlery."

I've never heard of an international airline that doesn't feed you for 10 hours and then runs out of food for you to even purchase. It's madness. I will NEVER fly Norwegian again and I will let everyone know not to either."

I specifically heard one attendant who had swapped out a meal for a passenger say out loud "she didn't like her vegan meal so she wanted another one" in front of the passenger. I found that rude and accusing. I know I did not pay for food and I expected that. However, I think that's a bit austere for a 10 hour flight. Not even water offered for non-paying passengers. I don't know how you expect people to be healthy and ok on such a long flight without water.. Will not be flying Norwegian again."

Miinukset: "That we were there 50 minutes before departure and it was not clear that we had to be there an hour before departure. It’s not that we didn’t plan to be earlier (we did) but our Uber driver took an awful route and turned a 50 minute drive into 2 hours. Given there was nothing else we could do, we would have appreciated a little more leniency or at least more clarity on the hour rule."

Plussat: "I recieved emails informing me of possible disruption to travel to and from airport ie road congestion & weather conditions and recommendations to avoid delays which I thought was a very helpful service."
Miinukset: "We didn't pre order food but understood snacks could be ordered during flight. The sandwiches had all sold soon after we departed New York. We were lucky enough to buy the last fruit salad. We had nothing else to eat for the entire journey. We booked hand luggage only. Obtaining a boarding pass electronically for myself and my partner was impossible. On the fourth attempt I booked myself in individually and was successfully. I then booked in my partner successfully.We tried to go through departures armed with our boarding pass but we're refused entry. We were redirected back to Norwegian main check in to obtain a happy face stamp on our boarding pass which is obtained after the weight of the luggage has been checked. Unfortunately this means that instead of going straight through departures with hand luggage only we had to go to the main Check in anyway. I agree with checking weight of hand luggage but the process could be improved greatly."

Miinukset: "Information about system for ordering food was very problematic. I was not informed that I needed to order food 3 online days in advance. I tried to order it while checking in online because I realised only at that point that it was likely I would have to order in advance...I was charged but did not receive what I ordered. One crew member was nice, the others were not. When checking in at the airport the staff desk attendant was very rude. Too many hidden costs. Paying for extras like food and luggage does not make the price economical."
Plussat: "Entertainment was good, nice planes."
Miinukset: "Not knowing about no food provided but had to buy and book meals 72 hours in advance, which I couldn't do, as it was last minute. No blankets or pillows were provided - had to buy a blanket. No headsets were available, which also had to be purchased, but received text notification to bring my own."

Miinukset: "The plane hadn't been cleaned properly, there was still food in the pocket in my seat from the flight before. And they didn't bring the trash through nearly often enough which resulted in passengers leaving wrappers and cups on the floor. We were 30 min delayed as well."

Miinukset: "It’s a long flight with no drinks... but with Norwegian you know what you sign up for! Water is $3. The 5 hour delay left something to be desired, but Norwegian texted me early so I knew not to head to the airport."
Plussat: "All in all a great flight both there and back. I'd recommend this airline without hesitation. I didn't have a single issue with them. Great plane with all the new gadgets etc, love that the windows could be dimmed for sleep/watching movies. Lots of leg room, bonus for me was that both flights I had nobody next to me so I was also able to lie down! Shopping system worked great, every time I ordered I received my food/drink within minutes. Boarding was carried out in number order and worked well as they give themselves loads of time. There was no backlog of passengers waiting for that one person (there is always one!) to arrange their overhead space perfectly!! Would definitely fly with them again."

Plussat: "Dreamliner was a very good place to be for seven hours. As budget airlines go Norwegian are the best we've used, amazing value to cross the atlantic."

No IFE on our flight home apart from a few TV shows. No movies. Crew are hit or miss with the quality. Some are good, some are not so good or welcoming. Gate staff/set up wasn't great and not much information about the delayed departure given out."

Nearly slipped up with baggage as did not purchase bags coming back as missed the point while booking. How many people book return flights and don't bring bags back? Should have been an 'are you sure' check."

They are telling that first in the gate and then they charge for extra £50 for hand luggage. I'm going to avoid flying easyJet in the future."

Miinukset: "I have never been on a flight that didn't allow a carryon bag and some kind of bad to tuck under the seat ahead of you. There was room for my small backpack but because I had a carryon suitcase to go in the overhead bin, they made us check that bag and pay a very hefty fee."

The rest of the world can give the gate well ahead of time, why can't Britain do the same?"

Then there was a last call for boarding for Venice - but they hadn't even started boarding for Venice yet and it was meant to be a last call for Berlin. And then Venice ended up at a different gate (but only one over)."

Miinukset: "Our Easyjet flight from London to Milan was more than 1 hour late due to which we missed our connecting flight from Milan to New Delhi. We were stranded in Milan for one night and had to fly to Vienna for another night before we found a flight leaving to New Delhi from Frankfurt. We endured extreme inconvenience and should be compensated for the same. We had to find a hotel for one night in Milan and one night in Vienna before we could fly to our final destination. We are very disappointed with Easyjet :("
