Our luggage was severely damaged. The handle to the suitcases was torn off. In addition the bags and the contents were wet when we received them in Boston. IT had been raining in Istanbul and it seems the bags were left out in the open. I've been trying to get Turkish to repair the torn-off handles but I'm constantly hitting a wall. I have filed a claim but the support staff sends extremely brief denials with no explanation."

Plussat: "I liked the idea of offering a tour of Istanbul during long connections that Turkish airlines offer. The tour that I went on was a 2.5 hour bus ride with sightseeing from the window mostly - still it was very nice. The people organizing passengers in groups for the tour in the airport however were not so nice. When I said "I have a question", the guy literally ROLLED HIS EYES at me."
Miinukset: "The crew was somewhat rude and unwelcoming, both in the plane and on the ground. The seat is not comfortable in comparison with other transatlantic flights - somehow the crew and the seats were so much better on my connecting TK flight within Europe."

I understand the change in regulations, but it is important that all employees of Turkish airlines are aware of the change. We also waited one hour on the runway in Istanbul. Additionally, there was a small section of the plane which received food roughly an hour later than the rest of the plane. I was on this section, and was uncomfortably hungry by the time I received food."

Tall, well dressed, middle aged Italian gentleman beside me on aisle seat talking on his phone from boarding until we started to accelerate for takeoff. I had to ask him to shut his phone off twice. Staff not looking out for phone use. Then he was receiving text as we landed in Boston and never even bothered to put on his seat belt. Again staff did not notice. I travel a lot and normally air crew notice these things. Booked to carry skis via the Lufthansa US call center and was told there was a special offer and they were free for US bound flights. This was great news as I had assumed I had to pay. On bag check-in the associate told me they had booked them as golf clubs not skis. She also did not agree skis were free and spent 15 minutes reading the details of the contract and talking with an associate. She was polite but firm about it and I had to pay Euro100 to get them checked in."

When preparing for landing, one attendant gave an annoyed answer when I asked him to remind the same passenger to set his seatback in vertical position."
Plussat: "Our flight attendant in business class, Tobias (Tobi), was fantastic. He was very pleasant, attentive and professional. The food was delicious and served so promptly."

Very nice flight! No complaints
The flight was cancelled by the airlines. I am getting no where with Kayak or Chatdeal regarding a refund. Improved customer service is needed, with real people in a timely manner. Very disappointed
I missed two connections because the flights were late. I was given a substitute itinerary that had more layovers in different cities, one of which was Oslo, which is quite possibly the worst airport I’ve ever experienced. I arrived to my destination 3 hours later than expected, which made my taxi ride to my hotel more expensive because of traffic. And then to top it all off, they misplaced my luggage. And as I watch it move through their system because of an AirTag placed in my suitcase, it’s quite clear that they are in no hurry to get it to my hotel.
Even though we were just connecting in Stockholm, we had to wait in a very long line to show our passport and an even longer line for security. There was only one person working the entire security station, and they checked every person and every bag one by one. Thus, we missed our connection and are spending the entire day connecting through even more airports instead of enjoying our vacation.

Very good entertainment system with a not of great Nordic content (Swedish, Danish and Norwegian movies) Food was pretty good for an airplane. The service is excellent. I slept through the meal service, but they still made it a point to get me a meal when I woke up. Old fashioned tea and coffee service, with a steward going up and down the aisles with proper tea and coffee pots. Very professional, a high end feel to everything."

Miinukset: "My flight was cancelled and no one notified me! Instead, FlyUs.com placed me on a different SAS flight that had a 15 minute layover in Copenhagen. Needless to say, I would have missed the flight from Copenhagen. I realized the issue the day-of, spent hours on the phone trying to book a different flight through the customer services at FlyUs.com (stupid company!), and was finally rebooked by SAS on a different airline. When I called SAS directly, they immediately took care of the situation and handled it well, but I wasted an entire day dealing with FlyUs.com, waiting on confirmation for a flight that I was never going to receive. The whole experience was awful."
Miinukset: "We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!"
Miinukset: "No choice in main course. Only one option Long time since wine or beer is not offered free on a “major” airline. The entertainment was interrupted a couple of times with adds. Seats are tight and space more in line with a discount airline."

Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."
Plussat: "The customer service was great & they attended to my son who has a disability & flying on his own. He arrived well & happy so we were pleased with the service."
Miinukset: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Plussat: "We traveled with our 11 month old and the crew was super helpful. It was an 8.5hr flight, we got a middle seat to give him space to play and the staff had a lot of fun engaging with him. They even gave him a couple of toys to play with. Food was just ok, but better than most airline meals I've had. We flew Premium Economy which was a comfortable experience as well."

I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."
Plussat: "I'm surprised this is called a budget airline (or am I mistaken?!). Anyway, everything was great. The entertainment options were limited compared to Turkish, Emirates, Lufthansa or Qatar, but enough for a 7 hour flight and then some. Also, I liked that there was a bottle of water on each seat for people to hydrate. Very important, and I haven't seen any other airline do it."

Miinukset: "Inflight entertainment consisted of an iPad with very limited options. Only one non-alcoholic drink included with dinner, and purchase price of wine was the highest I have ever seen on a flight."

Not bad in and of itself but they only gave me a few hours notice that my flight was changed (email sent at 1 AM on a 7 AM flight) and I lost my already paid for upgrade to premium economy. They couldn't find any record of me having purchased an upgrade when I went to check in on my 5+ hour flight."
Miinukset: "Although it was entirely SAS's fault that I missed my connection in CPH, they refused to reroute me on another carrier. They routed me on another SAS flight to ORD, and from there back to BOS. Hence my arrival was delayed from 3.20 PM to 12.130 AM after midnight."

Miinukset: "We asked them to pay for a car instead of a hotel so we could drive. But they refused. They could have booked two rooms since there are four of us but we all have to share one room. They could have warned us that there really was no dinner instead of promising dinner."

Gate agents are friendly and knowledgeable. They work hard to solve any problems you have - even if you're not and Iceland Air customer. I can't say enough good things about them. You can't go wrong flying Iceland Air."

Miinukset: "Boarding in Iceland was a horror show - no one knew what was going on - very disorganized. Flight crew was unfriendly and the service was non-existent. We will never take Icelandic Air again."
Miinukset: "This is not a comment on Icelandair but more a comment of the connection from our Reykjavik to Boston then Boston home. We had a 2 hr layover. You would think that is enough time? We got off the plane and had customs. The line was impossibly long to get to the kiosks then after the kiosks another impossibly long line to speak to an agent. Perhaps something that scans your boarding pass for your next flight and directs you to a line that will process you more quickly to help you make that flight. Customs ate up most of that 2 hrs. then we had to grab our luggage, recheck it in, go through security again. Going through security we had bought beer in the duty free shop in Munich which was put into a sealed bag (required). Security had to take this beer though a special process (guess what - this process was backed up and they were not going to help you make that connection). We once again had to run to our gate barely making our connection. We are starving (Icelandair - no food and they give no time to get any at the last connection) and no time at this airport to get any because the process to connect was so long."

Miinukset: "No meals or snacks included in ticket price, you only get a free drink (soda or water). Book directly on their website, or you don't get to choose your seat. Hard to get in touch with anyone to ask a question. Tried 800# - was #65! in queue. Tried facebook messenger & didn't get a reply for over a week!! Company customer service is nonexistent!!! Flight crew was great. Won't be using them again; not worth the savings. Will book direct with Delta or Swiss Air in the future, it's worth the extra $ to have quality customer service & 2 meals & a snack!!"

Miinukset: "As the same flight from Boston to Reykjavik (same seats going there and back) the complaint was the seats, it was like sitting on wooden boards (used pillows to sit on for 5 hours) and no room for a small bag at our feet."

We were bussed to a remote area of the field to board our flight from the tarmac. The flight was late in leaving. Crew was nice once we were on board, good plane. Cold in row 19, boiling hot near forward lavatories. Stressful, horrible experience."
Miinukset: "No food or too expensive to buy on flight. Most international flights provide food Keflavik arrival had to go outdoors. Weather was ok but could be a problem. What do disabled do? Boarding very congested long lines not enough space. Seems the airport needs a major expansion if it's going to handle this number of travelers."

Miinukset: "Witnessed onboard dispute between passenger and a minor passenger over the child's instrument case which was in the older passengers' overhead storage. Also seated next to large family group was difficult."
Miinukset: "For a 5 1/2 hour flight, they could at least throw you a bag of peanuts or pretzels. Was very disappointed in the service."
Plussat: "Aircraft was new and modern."
Miinukset: "Crew members ranging from curt to affirmatively rude. Lack of space in overhead bins. HORRIBLE boarding experience, with no management of lines or explanation of 60-minute delay in boarding. HORRIBLE connection experience in Boston, with no representative at designated desk to recheck luggage for flight onward. Our party of 10 people wound up scattered all over BOS Logan, with 3 of us making it back to FLL intact, 4 losing their bags and 3 others left behind -- all due to poor communication with arriving passengers. DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE unless you are prepared for inhospitable service, tight seating, and a DREADFUL boarding and landing process."
Plussat: "We were delayed about an hour and half, waited on boarding line, which were not controlled and people kept cutting in, buses to tarmac in freezing cold, no Agent at baggage recheck with short connection. They crew turn off air way too early in the cabin. People are in winter gear and cabin temperature is not comfortable. On the way to Iceland, it was too warm on the plane for the entire duration."
Plussat: "I fly a LOT, mostly on American Airlines (I am gold, almost platinum status) and the flight/service and food on this flight was above and beyond anything I've ever experienced on American! Keep up the great work! LOVED receiving the bottle of water upon boarding. Excellent touch!"

Miinukset: "No free food service. Most European flights feed you. Sat just before a toilet facility mid-plane. Seat would not recline. Wasn't aware of that when booking. Plane PA system very poor. Could not hear any of the announcements"
Miinukset: "We paid for premium comfort seating which translated into a three seat row with the middle seat empty. No priority seating. No access to lounge. Entertainment system not working, but no recent movies anyway. Would not fly Icelandair again"
Plussat: "The entertainment offerings were excellent. The complimentary drinks were also appreciated."
Miinukset: "Perhaps it's an industry-wide trend, but the flights are expensive enough to include meals; having to pay extra for alcohol is reasonable, but charging for a sandwich seems excessive. More troubling, however, is that I had to pay extra (a rather steep fee of 240 Euro) for my extra-heavy luggage, and the airline lost my bag. This fee, at the very least, should be reimbursed."
Miinukset: "The flight was leaving late and we were informed that it was fine, that we would make our connection to Jetblue flight to RDU! That was not the case, however! That was the last flight to RDU that day and no hotel rooms were available in Boston area!!! So we had to spend the night on cots in the terminal! That sucks!!!"
Miinukset: "The service wasn't very good, the seats were marginally comfortable and the food was just Ok. Expected more from Business class considering the price of the ticket."
Plussat: "The Reykjavik airport was clean and had nice facilities"
Miinukset: "The customer service was very poor on the plane. During the time that my mother requested a drink on the plane, the flight attendants walk right past her and did not even initially acknowledge her presence. I found that to be very rude and unprofessional. I was also very disappointed to find that we were not given food on the five hour flight. That was very inconvenient and I have never experienced that on any other airline in my 22 years of life. It is safe to say that I will NEVER be flying with Iceland air again."

Miinukset: "I was in seat 35G. The space under the seat in front of me was very small, and it was nearly impossible to get to my bag when the person in front of me reclined. Also, the young boy sitting behind me was kicking the seat throughout most of the flight. Not your fault, but it was pretty crappy."
Miinukset: "The entertainment is very poor. The programs are not on demand and the screeen is old, small and very poor quality. The A330-200 I flew from Boston to Lisbon was excellent and had the new lie flat seats and on-demand entertainment. Big difference between the two airplanes."
Miinukset: "at check-in agent said we did not have coverage on our ticket for our 2 -50lb bags dispite informing her that we were covered and had no problem on our arriving flight to Portugal - we had to pay 196 Euros or leave our bags in Portugal Additionally we had ordered a wheelchair to assist my wife to the gate - which we also had our arriving flight - agent said she had no record of it. She said we could wait which we did and waited 2 hours to obtain a wheelchair (and came close to missing our plane) not to mention the stress associated with the whole check in process"
Plussat: "the food was excellent. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Nice to have blanket and pillow provided."
Miinukset: "leg room was about average, but still tight. Very few airlines provide enough leg room these days."
Plussat: "I really appreciated the fact that the gate agents enforced the boarding process meticulously. Often times, even when boarding a certain zone, passengers ignore it and board anyway. The staff made sure that people only boarded when their zone was called. The flight and the aircraft was comfortable. The food was better than what I've had on other airlines, if not at least equal."

Even though there were plenty of aisle seats open, the crew member just kinda ignored us. The old lady sitting next to me just slept the whole time and I could not get out to the bathroom. Also since I am left handed I could not really eat since with the right-handed old lady we were hitting each other's elbow and nocking each the food out of each other's hand, I finally pulled my elbow in and ate like a T-Rex. The person in front of me pushed their seat back all the way, I asked the crew member to do something but nothing really was done, since I am a little taller I could not fit my knees, they were crushed."
