I think it would be great if Istanbul airways cooperated with the Yotel so transit passengers could stay in the airport. They helped me to get a visa and they say it will be reimbursed, but all of those things took time when I was so exhausted after a long flight. Overall, it was wonderful to have that opportunity to rest and shower on a long wait, but it would be even better if it was closer and it was clear ahead of time that a visa would be needed."

Miinukset: "Boarding they kept me and couple othee guys like seeiously 5 staff people at the gate doing nothing and you ask anyone please help i want to tag my stroller so i can board ans go on boarding line, no response only one peeson will work. the rest of the four are completely useless, i eventually told my wife to board with our daughter so they have the time to sit and prepare food etc and pull things they will need durimg flight Andi waited on this last staff person at the gate until she gave me the tag to the stroller and boarded later First meal they said either fish or beaf meat balls, i like both and no problem, but the crew said no fish anymore so you you will take beaf, OK Luckily neither my wife or daughter ate it Because after I ate it, 3-4 hrs later, I had the worst stomach pain ever and was in pain the rest of the flight and the remaining of the day after we landed FYI I ate just crackers and like all bread sandwiches all morning and was completely fine- just the beaf meat balls either not cocked or remains of non good beaf and other things- horrible food"

Welcome drink were promptly served but the food choice was still a big no-no. EVERYTHING CONSISTS OF DAIRY PRODUCT THAT I M ALLERGIC TO. When I brought this to the flight attendant's attention, none of them was apologetic and none of them tried to find out another solution to me, who was flying their airline the first time and didn't know the not-so-diverse food option."

I asked to transfer to the next flight, but the staff there argued with me and refused to do so, saying I must purchase another ticket. I was forced to purchase a visa, go through passport processing, and purchase a new ticket that cost nearly as much as my entire round trip ticket from the US. I then had to pay to stay overnight in a hotel and had to make alternate arrangements to meet my hosts when I finally reached my destination."

Plussat: "For the price difference between turkish air and direct flights to Rome, for three people, we actually paid for ten days' room and meals. Although the plane was late in leaving, making us miss our connection (which was only one hour) in Istanbul...but Turkish Air paid for our hotel stay near the airport and the delay to our itinerary was minor."

The guy next to me insisted on putting his legs and arms into my side of the seat. A direct connection to Turkish Airlines website would be helpful instead of WebJet."

Miinukset: "I flew Turkish from Chicago to Istanbul on Sat Feb 7. Entertainment system did not work for the whole flight. (10 hours). I flew back from Istanbul to Chicago on Sat Feb 27. It was not working again for the whole flight (11 hours). Either I flew back on the same aircraft in which the system was defective and was not repaired for 3 weeks, or all the Turkish aircrafts have no entertainment system. How it was elected to be Europe's Number 1 airline last year is a mystery. May be the service in all other European airlines is less than this"

Miinukset: "Sadly the airlines treat us like cattle now the way they squeeze us in like sardines in their non-adjustable seats. This appears to be true on all most airlines."

Miinukset: "They cancelled my original flight, which originally left at 7AM, and put me on a flight 12 hours later at 7PM to Skopje. So I had to wait in Istanbul for 14+ hours. They provided me with a hotel and free lunch, which was nice but it was a complete hassle to obtain these, and I was walking all around the airport, in and out of security, and waiting at hotel services for 4+ hours until I finally left for the airport. Turkish really needs to get its act together if it says that it is the best airline in the region."

They canceled my flight yesterday only an hour for me to leave so am so disappointed by your airline I payed Covid test for $175 . Is hard to get hold of your customers service representative. Your Airline is a scammer

Plussat: "The crew, again, was fabulous. Boarding, once the stuffy wait was over, went quickly. They attended to every request with smiles, gentle humor, and without delay. Nonstop movies were a great help on this second of two long legs, and it was really nice to have control over pausing, replaying portions, and jumping ahead past sex scenes. A 10-sec forward button like the back button would be very useful to skip nudity scenes, there were families around us! The trip was as comfortable as it could be, given close proximity of seats. Appreciated the pillows and blankets, and frequent water and drinks."
Miinukset: "Boarding was pretty terrible - no instructions, go left, give up the water bottle we JUST BOUGHT even though it was still unopened (it had to be "sealed", still no idea what that means because the seal wasn't broken), and the waiting room was very stuffy! Seemed we should have been able to get air...? Boarding went quickly, though, thankfully. Breakfast was pretty bad, one of us just skipped it once opened because it was so unappetizing. Would have liked movie ratings to appear in the descriptions to save the risk of getting started on lame shows."

Plussat: "Munich airport on other hand. We got to the airport several hours in advanced. Everything from getting a boarding pass to checking and weighing in your own bag was electronically. Long lines and majority of the systems were not working. After trying several machines and being directed into 3 different lines I finally was able to check my bag in. I had to leave my other family members who were flying with me as they were in another line. At the machine to check my bag in , a airport worker ran up to my bag and slammed it onto the ground as well as ripped off my luggage tags. My bag was upright on the conveyer belt instead of on its side , but how rude the airport workers are, is rediculous. After I asked why she did that she just began ordering me around to move my bag after I got my bag through the machine I asked to speak to a manager as the airport worker was extremely rude and unprofessional. No one would give me the time of day and the same airport working out her hand in my face saying repeatedly goodbye in German. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. Trying to get through security a few travelers on a thin patience level started pushing people in line trying to by pass others it was so very chaotic workers had to go in between. Those travelers were complaining, because disabled travelers had a separate line that was faster. The worst airport experience I've ever had. Once on the plane everyone was pleasant. Crew was very helpful and always willing to assists"
Miinukset: "There was a child on the plane that was screaming and crying on and off for several hours. The parents didn't do anything to keep the child calm. Before we got to Chicago eveyone had to be seatbelt s before landing and the flight attendant asked eveyone to buckle up. The mother of the baby wouldn't listen and began yelling at flight crew. I think the flight crew did a great job, the passenger and child were very disruptive making the flight at times very uncomfortable. I wouldn't suggest infants or toddlers flying for such long trips. No one wants to listen to a child screaming at the top of their lungs."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "So That we could attend the wedding early the next morning in Oldenburg. They then had the audacity to void our return flights. Luckily I spoke with a lovely lady at Lufthansa, explained the situation and she re-instated return flights for an admin fee. Will never ever use Swiss Airlines again."
Plussat: "It was better with the earache, plane felt cleaner, the crew was more friendly and attentive. Didn't feel as dark as the first flight."
Miinukset: "The Star Alliance flights aren't that cheap. Comparable price between Lufthansa, Swiss, SAS and Austrian. Lufthansa gives you food, and has friendly service. SAS gives you coffee and tea. On Austrian and Swiss I didn't get anything. For same price range and same alliance, that is a point I keep in mind. Now I mainly try to get onto Lufthansa flights (or Turkish Airlines which is my favorite). Even on Aegean, I got better food, and the magazine was better, plus there were some monitors to track the flight. Austrian feels cheaper than the others. That is the main point I didn't like."
Plussat: "On time, best connection for me, earning miles on my program. I booked based on time and cost, didn't even pay attention to what airline."
Miinukset: "No food, plane felt pretty old and not so clean. Smaller seats than the other flights I had with Lufthansa. Otherwise, it was fine. I had a pretty bad earache on that particular flight, so I liked it less than I might have otherwise. Something didn't feel right, pressure wrong or something."
Miinukset: "My flight was canceled and I received no communication from Austrian Airlines. There was no staff at ticketing counter. The contact number that O’Hare had was a disconnected Verizon number, which was the same number listed on their website. I had to call the international number where I was told I was rebooked on United with 2 layovers instead of one. I also lost my business class upgrade and was told there was nothing they could do about it."

Plussat: "the flight missed my connection and they were AWESOME in handling it, getting me on a Swiss Air flight. That flight also missed its connection and Swiss Air took great care to put me up in a hotel. They made a frustrating situation so much smoother!"

I did not fly back with them and at check in the three seats were confirmed on a boarding pass printed at their departure location. Upon checking in on the connecting flight in Vienna, the seat assignment had been completely disregarded and three seats located 10+ aisles apart were given to a family traveling together??????? This makes no sense and must be due to booking through a third party. Unacceptable and not worth the $40 per ticket savings."

That could have been avoided if they informed us."

Kayak inserted a whole other stop into my itinerary and I didn't know about it until I checked in and I had Oslo written on my boarding pass instead of the layover I thought I had. How are you not going to tell me I'm going to Norway? Because of this new addition, I missed my flight to Warsaw, and now I'm stuck in Sweden for the night.

The staff between IAD and Copenhagen was not friendly

Miinukset: "Terrible airline, they charge for everything, but don’t give the client good service. I was yelled by a worker because I was having difficulties scanning my bag at the self-scanning-and-uploading-your-luggage that you pay $100 dollars extra Per bag. I don’t like this airline."
Plussat: "Kummatkin lennot olivat ajallaan ja kaikki onnistui sujuvasti ja nopeasti. Ekalla lennolla ( HEL - > ARN ) henkilökunta oli huippu!!"
Miinukset: "The check in staff at the gate could have been more friendly and paid better attention to customer care. I was standing in front of the counter with a simple Question but had to wait 5 minutes before the two agents got done with their own personal chat and thought about attending to me."

Plussat: "The only thing that saved the flight was a good crew and decent food."
Miinukset: "My husband uses a wheel chair and a delightful attendant wheeled him and about 20 other passengers to a very well equipped handicap area. There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."
Plussat: "I think it must have been a brand new plane. Good comfort. USB-charger for each seat."
Miinukset: "Rerouted without consultaton - added an extra leg to my trip including a necessary mad dash to catch the make-up flight."
Plussat: "Everything about the flight was wonderful except baggage claim, in BOTH directions."
Miinukset: "It could have been the perfect trip, but I am not sure why SAS baggage handling is so mediocre. In both the flights from EWR to OSLO and back, every aspect of the trip was super, except for the wait for baggage. In Oslo, I estimate having waited at least a half an hour at the carousel before the bags started showing up, and the same in Newark. We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."
Miinukset: "Poor customer service. No notification via text or email that there was a 5 hour delay, and no immediate rerouting for connecting flights. a 15 hour trip turned into 24+. Worst SAS experience ever."
Plussat: "No comment since very short flight."
Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."

Miinukset: "Cramped in a tiny seat behind someone well over 6’5 who kept slamming his seat back to get more room. We were later diverted for a person on the flight who had health issues all the way back to Canada when we were practically over Ireland. We flew back I believe an hour and a half back only to not have proper fuel equipment which took fueling forever and caused our crew to go past their duty day which made use get diverted again to Iceland for a new crew and even more gas. We were held on the plane for a total of 8 additional hours! We were never allowed to get off the plane, we were given very minimal food and drink the additional 8 hours, and when my girlfriend asked what was going on your information person in Copenhagen said they had no idea what was going on with my Flight and had no idea where it was."
Plussat: "Very accommodating to me when I was flying solo with my 15 mo. old."

Miinukset: "I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."
Plussat: "No entertainment. Food not part of basic deal. But was both no problem for me because it was a short flight. On both points I rather would say: N/A"

There is so little room that it is virtually impossible to sleep, even on an 8-hour flight. The purser's English was atrocious, nearly incomprehensible, and he didn't seem to care whether anyone understood him or not."

It was not clear from iceland air website that i had to checkin with SAS. First stood in line for iceland air then had to go stand in line again for company handling SAS. Spent way too much time online doing this. Otherwise trip was fine."

We waited on the plane for most of that half hour with no explanation of why When calling rows to board -- after calling rows 1 through 13 she then called rows 41 and after. She skipped our row 14. This could definitely be an issue with overhead space"
Miinukset: "We arrived in Newark, but our luggage did not. It was lost for 2 days. In this day and age of technology, there is no excuse."
Plussat: "Overall the flight was ok."
Miinukset: "Each time I fly SAS, it seems that a service that was free must now be paid for."

Miinukset: "Typically, on every other international flight I've taken, they offered at least a single glass of wine or a beer with dinner. Not so for this one."

Miinukset: "Entertainment was hard to hear with the ear buds provided. Wait time in security at Chicago was terrible. It took nearly an hour to get through security."
