Dhaka-Istanbul-Tirana-Istanbul-Chicago. They made me pay double what I paid for the entire round trip flight to move this flight 2 days later when I was well enough to fly. I have called and written several times and they have not responded. I have used Turkish Airlines for years and this is very disappointing, I am entitled to the airport taxes that I paid and did not use."

Miinukset: "I had to take flight from San Juan to JFK on Jet Blue seperate ticket that supposed to leave san juan 5:26 am and get to JFK at 9:18 am , Jet Blue got delayed 5 houres due to the weather , when i got to JFK i went to the counter of Turkish Airlines to re book on another flight , i was attended by Indian look manager , he was very very very nasty with me and he told that the Turkish Airlines had cancelled my ticket and his comment to me ( you boughtyour ticket socheap there fore you need to pay $1650 dollar for new ticket and there is not gurranted i will be takig the next scheduled flight and i have to waite for thenextday ) he was very nastuy, so i went to Emirates Airlines and i bought a new tickets for $1475 dollar and ileft JFKwithen twohours , now when i want to retune from Lebnon i caled Turkish Airkines and they had informed that they cancelled my return ticktes as well , when the plane was delayed in san juan Puerto Rico Jet Blue manager in San Juan call Turkish Airlines to exolaine the situatuion and the agent had confirmed that i will be rebbok on another flight. I lst my ticket with Turkish and i will never recommend this Airline to no one from now on. I,m asking if i can use the monry that i had paid if i can rebook future flight , please do something i lost my tickets with Turkish and i had to pay $1475 dollar on Emirates , NO one seems to care .I have all the proof thatJet Blue gave me the boarding pass on Turkish after the station manager in San Juan called Turkish and they authorized him to print my boarding pass ( i have it all) unfortunatly Turkish refused to helo. Went to the wrong gate for my connecting flight, Turkish air rep at the gate checked my boarding pass, didn't say a word about me being at the wrong gate. Tgere was no announcement of any kind (found out later, Turkish sir doesn't do announcement at the Istanbul airport. No clue as to why). Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

Plussat: "The inflight service was wonderful. Business class comfort is excellent with full lie flat seats, Crew was attentive. My special vegetarian food was very good using the usual airline fare I receive."
Miinukset: "The arrival into Istanbul was marked by a major inconvenience unnecessary anxiety, extra expense and frustration. On deplaning from a flight from Barcelona, a Turkish Airlines employee was checking boarding cards the connectivity flight and directed people to the appropriate exits for domestic and international connection. We had a connection to JFK and tried to enter the exit for international connections. She insisted that we go to the domestic exit despite my telling her we had an international connection. This led to passport control which had never occurred to me anywhere in the world when making an international connection. Next problem - I was told I needed a visa! My travel partner did not need a visa and was already through passport immigration control. The officer did not speak English and pointed in the direction I needed to go to get a via. I told him I did not want or need a visa but that was it! I started to look for the visa application area and there was no staff or anyone to help. Finally I found 4 kiosks for e-visas - only one worked. 20 plus dollars later I had the visa and immigrated. We quickly reverse the process and went though security and passport control to get back inside the international terminal. It was nuts! The boarding in Istanbul was crowded and chaotic."

Plussat: "The crew was incredible and helped to cater to all our needs. The full meals were delicious. The comfort/ entertainment on our international 11 hr flight was very good. Personalized tv with loads of options, USB outlet for phone charging, headsets, pillows and blankets all included."
Miinukset: "We had to wait over an hour for our bag after landing. This may have been due to the rainy weather/ large plane."

Miinukset: "I had to ask a neighboring passenger if her would allow me 20mins of my flight without his rear end in my face. He was a fairly large man and constantly bending over in the isle to chat with his family. His infant was being attended to by his wife who constantly paced around to shake the baby (I'm sure the baby was annoyed as well). The baby finally spat up on the floor and seat. Everyone in the family could not sit still more than 5mins at a time, jumping up, moving around, switching seats, passing items. The men turned the area into a social scene/bar. I was too distracted by all this activity hovering over me to enjoy reading or relaxing. I constantly had rear ends in my face, and I constantly had to dodge and lean in my seat. The aforementioned tall man even had the nerve to fold away my television monitor when I dozed off so that it would not be an obstruction for his activity. By then I'd had enough. The This flight was terrible. Non of the staff requested better conduct or mindfulness of the other passengers. I believe the airline should strongly consider having a separate space for large families, families with babies, or at least have a code of conduct to which passengers should respect for the sake of every paying customer's ability to enjoy such a long flight."

Miinukset: "The seat was very worn and I was sitting on rebar. Thankfully it was a short flight."

Plussat: "I flew Turkish Airlines this year - 2 domestic flights and 3 international - and every flight was great. The long-distance flight (Japan-Istanbul) especially. My seat was more comfortable than with USA companies I've used, I was fed on short-lap flights and provided a pillow (no extra charges), I had real milk to put in my coffee (not chemical creamer) and I didn't pay extra for baggage. Flights were on time, crews were friendly. I'll be using Turkish Airlines more in the future, for certain."

Miinukset: "hardly uses bridges when boarding. have to take shuttle an attendant only said 'oops' instead of an apology to me when she spilt some water on me accidentally. and they rarely look at you when saying goodbye while you unboard the plane you'd expect better even from a 'mediocre' airline"

My twelve hours from Miami to Istanbul turned out to be less because of the amazing service I recieved. Miinukset: "I had a big problem with the Baggage allowances on this particular flight. I was only allowed 20kg on a long (8hr) international flight, one which I was moving around the world for. If the policy was more like 40kg, there would have been no problems whatsoever and my trip would have been the best I have experienced in a long time. I suggest they improve their regulations quickly to widen their customer base."

I aldo found ground staff at the customer service desk very unsympathetic and unhelpful when I asked for assistance on grounds of ill health. They were quite condescending ."

Plussat: "The wheel chair service at Munich airport was excellent. She received us at the door, helped us find a connection after we lost our flight and communicating every step and giving us First Class service on coach. Thank you!"

Miinukset: "We only had 45 minutes between flights. We almost missed our flight to Naples due to having to go through security again in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt airport was very congested. I wouldn’t have booked a flight with such a short layover had I known how far apart the gates were and that we’d have to go through security again. I would suggest not offering flights with such short layovers."

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "The ticketing when purchasing a ticket from NEW YORK is very unclear and even though we wanted a JFK ticket, the NEW YORK search showed a ticket for NEWARK NJ so my step dad ended up going to the JFK airport - An elderly man who has trouble with English and no one was willing to help him to rebook his ticket. Not only that - the Lufthansa people VOIDED his entire ticket including the second leg because the agency wasn't picking up for a rebooking so the entire ticket cost was lost - $1200 - GONE! We couldn't even get him a one way ticket so he could use the return part of the one he bought. This is an absolute customer service disaster. This man lost all his money, he saves up all year to go see his family. That's an ugly way to take advantage of people."

Plussat: "Decent choice of entertainment options, though the selection of more recent titles was limited, food was fine for airline food. The crew was, as always on Lufthansa, pleasant, courteous and helpful."

Plussat: "The politeness and friendly demenor of the LH crew is very refreshing and makes for easing the stress of a long journey. The seating arrangement and the below deck toilets were also nice. Seating next to toilets is never comfortable and moving them downstairs is a great idea,"

Miinukset: "Because of a family illness I had to reschedule my flight 2 weeks before. Because the flight was booked through a secondary company, rebooking the outgoing flight ended upp: a) costing me as much as the whole original return flight; b) was no longer a 1 stop flight as I also had to stop in Frankfurt plus the company would not allow me to choose directly, I sent them details and then they booked what they could find; and c) I lost both the outgoing flight ( which was charged) and the return flight ( which was not changed) premium seat bookings both of which I had to pay for a second time. If I had booked directly with the airline this would have cost a transfer fee and I would not have lost the premium seat bookings. This was therefore a great expense and inconvenience. I will no longer book flights indirectly when using kayak. In future I will search using google flights and then go straight to the airline sites to book. Very disappointed. I never had this problem when booking with kayak before"

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."

Miinukset: "I didn’t understand that we got no baggage allowance with our tickets. When I looked on the website it appeared that star alliance members got the usual free luggage. Apparently it was a “lit” fare & we didn’t. It would have been worth it to get the next class of fare"

Miinukset: "Sweet or saulty 'Snack' is a joke"

Miinukset: "We were almost three hours late on arrival. Being at VIE airport after midnight with no buses going home is no fun."

Miinukset: "Firstly . The crew were rude ! They did not even response when were calling them from the seat . The only way to talk to them is to find them at the end of the plane ( where they been chating with each other ) Secondly . The amount of snacks was limited where’s in Turkish airlines it’s unlimited and you can choose different sandwiches whereas in Austrian airilines can offer biscuits and Cookies ;( Thirdly . We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

Plussat: "Very comfortable aircraft"

Miinukset: "Crew wasn't very helpful and didn't ensure my stroller was delivered at the aircraft exit Had trouble closing my suitcase into the overhead compartment and called for assistance, to which i got reprimanded for opening it in the first place Requested coffee because i couldn't get it myself, being with a sleeping toddler, to which i got a horrible answer: the flight attendant told me i had to get it myself in the kitchenette"

Plussat: "Everything was going to at"

Plussat: "I like the food , service and clean airplane."

Miinukset: "My flight was cancelled! ended up flying to Athens the next day"

Plussat: "This isn't really the flight, but see below for lack of personnel at Vienna airport to help locate gates after our flight arrived very delayed. I was running with a cane, and getting very upset when an airport employee with a cart asked if he could help. He took me to the gate I thought was for my flight, but it was for a DIFFERENT flight to Zurich. He calmed me down and drove me to the correct gate, talking the agent there to make sure it was the right one before he left me there. I wish I had time to get his name because he was very kind and helpful and I don't know what I would have done without him - wouldn't have made the flight, that's for sure. (He was in vicinity of gates F 3 - 13 on Sunday June 11 approximately 5:15 - 5:30pm Vienna time, if anyone wants to know)"
Miinukset: "Our flight was delayed almost one hour. Even though I had only one hour between flights, I was told (in Split) that all flights would be delayed, so no worries. On the plane, they gave information for some flights; for the rest of us they just said, go to your gate (for connecting flight) as quickly as possible. Flight landed at 5:05pm. When I walked out of plane (I was using a cane; recovering from broken ankle so have some trouble walking distances), there was no board with flight info, just immigration. Finally I saw a flight board, and had 10-15 minutes walk still. Also, signage wasn't great. I called after an Austrian Airline flight attendant who was also leaving, but she never heard me. Finally I found the right direction, still had security to go through. I was running with the cane (not good for my ankle). Essentially there was no help. Until a man driiving one of those carts helped me - I write about him above in what I liked about the flight."

Plussat: "The flight attendants were beautiful"

Miinukset: "Behavior of AA"

Miinukset: "Behavior of AA. We came with AA from Nica to Wien on time and AA did not allowed us to take plane to Zagreb. They changed to latter fly with CA. Shameful and inadmissible !"

Plussat: "Very nice crew, great entertainment options"
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed by 2hours (but we did catch up 1 hour so good job!)"

Plussat: "Seats, crew, nice plane"
Miinukset: "Delayed flight. Random boarding,"

Plussat: "Good food, nice crew, nice screen, new plane"

Plussat: "Short flight from Milan to Vienna. Easy check in -- which at MXP is always a plus and a relief, Crew was very friendly, attentive and focused on the passengers and their job. A smile is worth a million dollars!"
Miinukset: "I loved it all!!"

Plussat: "Catering and service was superb. While linen. Course by course on China, no tray service. The food was exquisite. The wine was acceptable, mid range, with very generous pours in Riedel glassware and always the offer made of would I like anything more? The seperate coffee menu has to be experienced to be believed, basically, it's an authentic Vienna see cafe experience at 30,000 ft."
Miinukset: "Entertainment selection was fiddly and the offerings meagre compared to the vast libraries found on other carriers, but it was sufficient. More a quibble than a gripe from me. The noise cancelling headsets were good quality noise cancelling, and comfortable. I can't wear some other airlines headsets at all and use my ear pods with an airline adapter jack."

Plussat: "Staff was very kind. I'm not a needy person, but they offered continuous service."
Miinukset: "This is for Kayak's app- Usually I get a special meal request through the agent, but could not do it on Kayak's app, and Lufthansa and Austrian did not recognize my booking code from the ticket purchase confirmation email to do it on their website directly. Please look into both issues. This is for my whole trip and not the above mentioned destination."

Plussat: "Easy online check-in and boarding pass access also linked to wallet."
Miinukset: "I was not aware of additional luggage charges when I booked my ticket. It would be helpful to have a warning about that and the fact that if you do not prepay online you are charged double. I also was not aware of the type of a ticket I booked, e.g. Economy light and what it meant for luggage fees."

Miinukset: "After dinners the crew did not remove trays fora long time preventing movement. When the finally did there was a rush for the toilets. Having some toilets out of order compounded the problem Food is ok at best. The morning muffin was terrible A poor comparison to our flight last year on Turkish air"

Plussat: "We paid extra for extra leg room. Exit row. Well worth Cabin crew very good and friendly"
Miinukset: "Connecting flight on United. Horrible experience Chicago to Vegas.seats are small, feeling of claustiphobia, nothing free on entertainment. Only interested in adding to price of ticket. Very warm A/c didn't work well. Totally bad experience on United. Never want to fly on them again"

Plussat: "Short flight"

Plussat: "Smiling crew, clean airplane, tasty healthy food. I had all I needed to be comfortable."
Miinukset: "I can’t think of anything to improve on."

Plussat: "Kummatkin lennot olivat ajallaan ja kaikki onnistui sujuvasti ja nopeasti. Ekalla lennolla ( HEL - > ARN ) henkilökunta oli huippu!!"

Miinukset: "The check in staff at the gate could have been more friendly and paid better attention to customer care. I was standing in front of the counter with a simple Question but had to wait 5 minutes before the two agents got done with their own personal chat and thought about attending to me."

Miinukset: "Requested a window seat, got a middle seat. No food, ither than coffee or tea had to pay for everything. Late departure, nearly missed my connecting flight."

Plussat: "Boarding was easy, flight was smooth and on time."
Miinukset: "Seats were snug, granted we had the less expensive tickets."

Miinukset: "Again we had to climb down stairs with our luggage to get to the boarding area, then we had the typical ramp. What is it with Europe and stairs? If you have any issues beware. You better be strong and fit to fly in Europe. Not too many luxuries."

Plussat: "The attendants were constantly providing services to the passengers."

Plussat: "Professional and courteous crew"
Miinukset: "Nothing, was a pleasant flight"

Plussat: "The crew was very helpful and went out of their way to make sure the passengers were well taken care of."
Miinukset: "Have more books available for passengers who want to read."

Miinukset: "From Helsinki to Stockholm I missed my flight because we boarded late. Once in Stockholm I had to take two different planes for my destination and in result loosing time"

Plussat: "No problems. I was satisfied"

Plussat: "I could choose my seat"
Miinukset: "Nothing else"

Miinukset: "My luggage was lost and still not found"

Plussat: "I think it must have been a brand new plane. Good comfort. USB-charger for each seat."

Plussat: "Friendly service"

Plussat: "I liked the bottle of water in my seat. Thanks!"

Plussat: "The 2 gate agents were very helpful and nice, as well as the on-board flight attendants, all were very professional and did a good job for the most part."
Miinukset: "a few little things, nothing worth mentioning..."

Plussat: "Crew was friendly and professsional. Breakfast was good , as well as the selection of movies."
Miinukset: "Apparently SAS is not part of the TSA network, so I was unable to use my Global Entry membership to get TSA Pre-Check. Non-alcoholic beverage service was meager (one beverage only)."

Miinukset: "SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers."

Plussat: "No comment since very short flight."
Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."

Plussat: "The crew was very kind"
Miinukset: "Nothing :)"

Miinukset: "Not enough characters to express my disappointment."

Plussat: "Everything about the flight was fine. Boarding, flying and retrieving luggage were all standard and went smoothly."
Miinukset: "I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."

Plussat: "Seating was great, bumped to business class w/ extra chg."
Miinukset: "Earphones not working properly and when I ask they reset TV. Never came to ck on me afterwards. Not available to to ask.no vanilla icecream, only chocolate."

Plussat: "Efficient and friendly staff. Coach seats did recline on that Airbus model, which was nice."
Miinukset: "Had to pay for wifi in coach for internet access. It was dropping routinely, dial-up slow, and very frustrating. The food was on par with other airlines, minus the vegetable turnover. That was a bit odd. What was shocking to me, is that no alcohol of any kind was complimentary in coach."

Plussat: "Safe departure, flight and landing."
Miinukset: "An in flight breakfast snack would have been appreciated. The drinks served were okay. Nothing special."

Miinukset: "No food, no entertainment"

Plussat: "I was only charged half the price for my checked suitcase on the return flight - after I called SAS the day before departure."
Miinukset: "It doesn't really matter that other aspects of the flight were ok when I had to pay £60.00 for my one regular-size suitcase, and I don't find out until I am standing at the check-in counter. Why do travelers have to pay for checked luggage, at all?"

Miinukset: "flight was delay for 30 mins. then another 30 mins because there are 15 passenger that miss their flight due to delay or there is not enough flight to transport them to Longyearbyen the next day. We are force to wait a total of more then a hour to board them and stuck on plane. And ofcuase when we landed. My SAS go luggage is last to come out because the late arrival passengers luggage all come out ahead. It is a most terrible experience I ever had with a SAS flight. Might as well consider flying norwegian airline!"

Plussat: "Quick flight"
Miinukset: "1 hour delays and 70 euro bag fee"

Plussat: "I had a window seat with a view of New York City as we flew North."
Miinukset: "The sound quality of the earphones was so poor that I could not understand most of the dialogue of the film that I watched."

Plussat: "Movie selection"
Miinukset: "The flight attendants were rude. Not once was water offered. Only one drink cart for >8 flight."

Plussat: "Delicious food"

Plussat: "I was offered pizza and promised to get my money back as I would¨t reach my destination anyway. Still waiting for my enquiry about money,"
Miinukset: "The plane is very old and I¨ve been expecting this to happen. I wish they could set in a modern plane on this distance as the train also don¨t offer a proper connection."

Plussat: "The leg room. The great service and attitude."
Miinukset: "The food... needs to be improved, even if it means charging a fee."

Plussat: "The service was terrific and the flight was quick and easy."
Miinukset: "Geneva airport was a zoo! Oslo was very nice."

Miinukset: "I understood I could check one bag. Nope. Checking one bag cost me $67. So much for saving money."

Plussat: "Did not use their services much but the stewards seemed nice."
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed, no entertainment, not many food options for people with certain dietary requirements."

Plussat: "The flight was good : excellent pilot and crew. Good takeoff and landing. Short but sweet flight."
Miinukset: "Leg room is a nit short for tall people. Everything else was great."

Plussat: "My flight was more pleasant from Stockholm to Chicago because I was able to purchase an upgrade to Plus."

Plussat: "Everything was great! At check-in I upgraded to SAS plus. Will choose that again.comfortable, crew was so nice and friendly. Food was amazing. Made my 10 hour flight great. ."

Plussat: "connection was easy and quick"

Plussat: "We were in coach and it was comfortable and the food was good. The crew was helpful and pleasant. Entertainment options were great."
Miinukset: "I have never been on a trans-Atlantic flight before that did not include wine and liquor! Surprising."

Plussat: "I wish there were more snacks during flight."

Plussat: "Boarded in a downpour, crew got us on board quickly through a rear door. Unfortunately, weather caused a significant delay, but who can control the weather? :-)"
